Abstract

We consider two discrete signals that are discrete functions over time. We introduce a method to approximate one signal in a linear form of the other. The coefficient of the linear expression are obtained by applying a least square method. We present an example by using daily data of exchange rates. If an exchange rate of a currency is in a linear form of the other and there is a time leg, then one may predict the dynamics of a currency based on the dynamics of the other. Investors are interested in predicting the dynamics of exchange rates, stocks and commodity prices, if such prediction exists.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate the role theory and related to affective commitment as dependence variable at volunteer’s organizations, and examine the causal pattern of relationships among role conflict, stress, job satisaction, and affective commitment. The participans of this study were 230 volunteers in Sukoharjo. Sampling technique with purposive sampling method. The statistical methods used to test the validity, reliability, and the research hypothesis is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Analysis. Result of this research indicates that role conflict has correlation with stress and job satisfaction, both directly. Yet, stress doesn’t mediating between role conflict and volunteer’s satisfaction. Another finding was a correlation between job satisfaction and affective commitment. Conclude that role theory application in volunteers organization hasn’t similiar finding with another study, and the author recommend another study at vast volunteers or non profitable organizations.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) yang dicetuskan oleh Fishbein dan Ajzen (1975) dan mengembangkan model penelitian tentang antesenden niat berwirausaha dan peran Entrepreneurship Education Programme (EEP) dalam hubungan antara antesenden dan niat berwirausaha. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu semua perajin batik/karyawan di kampung batik laweyan dan kauman Surakarta. Sampel yang diambil dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sikap terhadap kewirausahaan dan persepsi kontrol perilaku berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada niat berwirausaha. EEP tidak memperkuat hubungan antara sikap terhadap kewirausahaan, norma subjektif, dan persepsi kontrol perilaku dengan niat berwirausaha.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the antecedent and consequent analysis of career development. This study is hypothesis testing survey method. The population in this study were all employees of PT PLN APJ Surakarta. The samples taken are 64 employees. The analytical tool used to test the suitability of the proposed model and hypotheses is to use a regression method with the help of SPSS 16. The conclusion is the fourth hypothesis was all supported. This indicates that the effect career planning on career development and career management influence on career development. Career development effect on job satisfaction. Career development effect on career commitment. PT PLN APJ Surakarta should increasingly provide career opportunities so that employees can improve planning and career management that can enhance career development thus expected to create job commitment and job satisfaction is high.

Abstract

The purpose this study is to examine the effect of Entrepreneurship Education Programme (EEP) on the antecedents of entrepreneurial intention, and influence attitudes towards entrepreneurship and perceived behavioral control as a mediating variable. The existence of previous research is inconsistent and few studies that examines the Entrepreneurship Education Programme (EEP) on the antecedents of entrepreneurial intentions on employee motivate researchers to conduct this research. Samples taken were 120 batik employees in Surakarta, Sragen and Karanganyar. Sampling technique with purposive sampling method.The statistical methods used to test the validity, reliability, and the research hypothesis is the approach to Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results of this study indicate that Entrepreneurship Education Programme (EEP) have a significant effect on attitudes toward entrepreneurship, and no significant effect on the perceived behavior control and intention entrepreneurship. Attitudes towards entrepreneurship, subjective norms, and perceived behavior control have significant effect on entrepreneurial intention. Mediating influence attitudes towards entrepreneurship Entrepreneurship Education Programme (EEP) on entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

The purpose this study to examine the effect job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB), effect team commitment on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour, and moderating effect of team commitment on the effect job satisfaction on OCB. The previous research that are inconsistent and remarkably little research has examined OCB in the context of these team motivate researchers to reexamine the influence of job satisfaction on OCB. The sampel taken are 34 employee PT. PLN (Persero) APJ Surakarta. The sampling technique with the sampling jenuh (sensus). Methods used to test the research hypothesis is multiple linear regression and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results show that the job satisfaction positively affect on OCB and team commitment does moderate the effect job satisfaction on OCB. The results of this study support the research of Foote and Tang (2008).

Abstract

Kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa masih rendah. Guru belum mampu melatih siswa untuk bernalar secara matematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa antara yang diajar dengan pendekatan metakognitif dan yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional. Penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan posttest-only design pada dua kelas VIII SMAN 8 Konawe Selatan yang berkemampuan awal matematika sama. Data diperoleh melalui tes dan lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif dan analisis inferensial pada a = 0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan metakognitif lebih mampu menyelesaikan soal-soal penalaran matematis dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan pendekatan konvensional. Melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan metakognitif siswa dapat bernalar secara tepat, mempersiapkan dan merencanakan belajar, memilih dan menggunakan berbagai strategi belajar, memonitoring penggunaan strategi, dan mengevaluasi belajar diri sendiri.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran CORE dengan menggunakan strategi berpasangan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMAN 16 Konawe Selatan. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa berbentuk tes uraian. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji paired sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran CORE dengan menggunakan strategi berpasangan secara signifikan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematis, Model Pembelajaran CORE, Strategi Berpasangan.Abstract: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the CORE learning model by using pairing strategies to improve students' mathematical problem solving abilities. The population in this study were all students of class X of SMAN 16 South Konawe. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique is done by giving the students a mathematical problem solving ability test in the form of a description test. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics by testing hypotheses using paired sample t-test. The results of the study showed that the CORE learning model using pairing strategies was significantly effective in improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities.Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, CORE Learning Model, Pairy Strategy

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematik siswa antara yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif dan yang diajar dengan model direct instruction ditinjau kategori motivasi belajar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa SMPN 17 Kendari sebanyak 231 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling dan acak. Data diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes dan angket. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan inferensial pada taraf nyata 5%. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa ada pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif dengan pendekatan saintifik dan model pembelajaran direct instruction dengan pendekatan saintifik terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematik siswa, baik secara keseluruhan maupun ditinjau dari kategori motivasi belajar.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis, pembelajaran Kooperatif, Direct Instruction, Motivasi Belajar, pendekatan Santifik.Abstract: This study aims to determine differences in the improvement of students' critical thinking skills between those taught with cooperative learning models and those taught by the direct instruction model in terms of learning motivation categories. The population of this study was all students of SMPN 17 Kendari as many as 231 students. The sampling technique was purposive sampling and random. Data were obtained using tests and questionnaires. Data were analyzed descriptively and inferentially at 5% real level. The results of this study are that there is an effect of the application of cooperative learning models with the scientific approach and direct instruction learning models with a scientific approach to improving students' critical thinking skills, both as a whole and in terms of learning motivation categories.Keywords: critical thinking ability, cooperative learning, direct instruction, learning motivation, scientific approach

Abstract

Abstrak: Kelemahan siswa dalam memahami soal cerita khususnya pada materi pecahan, telah menjadi salah satu penghambat terbesar dalam perkembangan pembelajaran matematika di Indonesia. Berdasarkan hal ini, diperlukan adanya investigasi mendalam terhadap bagaimana guru dan calon guru dalam mengajarkan konsep pecahan dengan menggunakan soal cerita. Tigapuluh empat calon guru matematika diminta mengajukan soal cerita kontekstual yang solusinya dapat diperoleh dari menghitung  dtambah dengan . Data terdiri dari protokol verbal bersama dengan catatan tertulis yang dibuat oleh subjek.  Analisis kualitatif dari data yg diperoleh fokus pada mengidentifikasi struktur dari soal yang dihasilkan dan jenis konteks yang umumnya digunakan oleh subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konteks yang paling banyak digunakan dalam soal cerita yang diajukan adalah pembagian kue, berat benda, dan pengukuran panjang. Struktur soal cerita kontekstual yang dihasilkan oleh calon guru matematika memiliki kelemahan dalam dua komponen yaitu: 1) dalam mengajukan konteks yang sesuai; dan 2) dalam memberikan informasi yang cukup sehingga solusi dari masalah yang diajukan dapat diperoleh dengan menerapkan konsep aritmatika  dtambah dengan . Hasil ini menunjukkan temuan baru tentang kesulitan calon guru dalam konseptualasasi pecahan.Kata kunci: Calon Guru Matematika, Pengajuan Masalah, Kontekstual, Soal Cerita, Penjumlahan Pecahan Abstract: Students’ weakness in understanding story problem especially abaout fraction, has become one of the greatest obstacle on development of mathematics education in Indonesia. Based on this information, be required a deep investigations towards how a teacher or prospective teacher in teaching concepts of fractions used story problems. Thirty-four mathematics prospective teachers were asked to posing a contextual word problem whose solution could be found by computing  added by . The data consisted of verbal protocols along with the written notes made by the subjects. The qualitative analysis of the data was focused on identifying the structures of the problems produced and the type context commonly used by the subjects. The results suggest that the most frequent context used in soal cerita kontekstual proposed were cake division, weight of object, area measurement, and length measurement. The structure of soal cerita kontekstual produced by candidate teachers of mathematics were found to be weak in two components, namely: in proposing appropriate contexts; and 2) in give sufficient information so that solution of the problems could be obtained using arithmetic concepts of   added by .
