Abstract

Background: Bugangan Village is one of the central location of making metal household appliances in Semarang. Workers were vulnerable to exposure by hazard risk factors in the work environment, thus at risk of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. In these locations require the Pos Upaya Kesehatan Kerja (UKK). The purpose of this activity was to established a safet and health post for a group of household appliance makers so that workers in the location can work safely, health and productive. Method: This research was used qualitative approach. The technical activities that was done collaborated between Semarang Health Office and Bugangan Public Health Center. The team also held discussions to the chairman and vice chairperson of the Bina Warga community so that the activities could run smoothly. Results: The result obtained from this activity was the establishment of UKK Post Metal Products located in one of the workers house. For the sustainability of Pos UKK, the attendant puskesmas officers have been willing to nurture the established UKK Post, and officers from Semarang health office were willing to build and supervise the community heath center (puskesmas) staff. Conclusion: The conclusion of this activity was to the established the UKK Post successfully implemented by involving entrepreneurs, domestic appliance industry workers in Bugangan, Bugangan Puskesmas, and Semarang City Health Office.

Abstract

Garbage transport officer risky for skin disease cause direct contact with various types of trash.  A skin disease worsening the condition could reduce productivity and health if not addressed seriously because it is very disturbing for the convenience of patients. The aim of this study was to compare health promotion with lecture and poster on the knowledge and attitudes of  skin diseases preventionThis study was a quasy-experimental with pre-post test two group design. Total subjects was 32 divided into 2 groups, namely speech group and poster group. Lecture intervention was given twice, which is lecture and lecture with forum group discussion (FGD). Interventions using posters are given for 2 weeks. Knowledge and attitude about prevention of disease skin obtained from questionnaire before and after education. Effect of disease skin  prevention on knowledge and attitude in both groups were tested used Mann-Whitney and Wilcoxon.There was an increase in knowledge of skin diseases prevention in the lecture group (p-value=<0,001) and poster groups (p-value=0,257), but there was no increase in attitude in both group. There was a difference between post-test scores skin diseases prevention knowledge in speech and poster group (p<0,05). However, there was no difference in attitude changing in both groups.The results revealed that health promotion with lecture dan poster media can affect in knowledge garbage transport officer  of  skin diseases prevention. Lecture was more effective at increasing knowledge than poster media

Abstract

Abstrak Pekerja di lingkungan panas dapat terpapar dehidrasi. Selain lingkungan kerja yang panas dehidrasi dapat disebabkan oleh kurangnya konsumsi cairan, penggunaan pakaian saat bekerja dan riwayat penyakit yang dimiliki.Pekerja pandai besi Desa Hadipolo terpapar panas dari lingkungan kerja berkisar antara 30oC –35oC dan mengalami tanda-tanda dehidrasi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7-15 April 2018.Tujuan penelitian menganalisis hubungan tekanan panas, konsumsi cairan dan penggunaan pakaian saat bekerja dengan tingkat dehidrasi pada pekerja pandai besi di Desa Hadipolo Kecamatan Jekulo Kabupaten Kudus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Hasil penelitian ini ada hubungan antara tekanan panas (p value = 0,036), konsumsi cairan (p value = 0,021), penggunaan pakaian saat bekerja (p value = 0,020) dengan tingkat dehidrasi. Analisis secara multivariat diperoleh hasil kategori konsumsi cairan dengan p value = 0,016 dan kategori penggunaan pakaian saat bekerja dengan p value = 0,017.&nbsp; Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini variabel yang paling berperan terhadap tingkat dehidrasi yaitu kategori konsumsi cairan kategori dan penggunaan pakaian saat bekerja. &nbsp;Abstract Workers in hot environments can be exposed to dehydration. In addition to a hot dehydrated work environment, it can be caused by a lack of fluid consumption, the use of clothing at work and the history of the disease. Blacksmith workers in Hadipolo village are exposed to heat from the work environment ranging from 30oC -35oC and experiencing signs of dehydration. The study was conducted on April 7-15, 2018. The purpose of the study was to analyze the relationship between heat stress, fluid consumption and clothing usage while working with the level of dehydration in blacksmith workers in Hadipolo Village, Jekulo District, Kudus Regency. this research is an observational analytic study with cross sectional approach. The results of this study there is a relationship between heat stress (p value = 0.036), fluid consumption (p value = 0.021), use of clothing at work (p value = 0.020) with the level of dehydration with. Multivariate analysis obtained results of fluid consumption category with p value = 0.016 and clothing usage category while working with p value = 0.017. Abstract

Hospital is one of companies who has obligation to compose and develop SMK3 hospital. In the hospital SMK3 must do K3 recording and reporting integrity process with management information system of the hospital. The problems in the recording and reporting system are difficulty to access and search the data, not on time in input, difficulty in processing and analysis process data, often to lose the data and the result of the information is not complete. The purpose of this research is doing development management information system of K3 in Telogorejo Semarang Hospital and trial information system. The planning management information system of K3 in the hospital is formed by in method waterfall are problems and needs analysis, design system, implementation and trial to use blackbox method. This system who can be easier to take decision. The result from this research is formed of information system K3 in the hospital will be resulting output such as reporting and graph and system worked well and right in agreed hope and rules who has been explained by user system and be able to accomodate using multi-user. The conclusion of this research is the use of K3 RS information systems can facilitate input and process data, speed up data search, and produce more accurate output.

Abstract

Risk Assessment is an activity that analyze a risk by determining the likelihood/ probability and severity ofconsequence / Consequences of a risk. This study is aimed to describe and assess the risk level in terms ofworker characteristics, equipment, materials, work processes and working environment of stone breakersworkers and making recommendations on hazard control efforts of workers.This was a descriptive qualitative research by conducting interviews on the workers and make observations onthe environment and work processes, and measuring the work environment. The study population was allworkers in the village of stone breaker Rowosari, Tembalang, Semarang with a sample of 41 people taken bysimple random sampling. Qualitative data analysis with content analysis using the form Hazard Identificationand Risk Assessment (HIRA).Results from this study is the level of risk of accidents at stone-breaking workers of each variable: thecharacteristics of workers with medium category, such as basket work tools, hammers, ganco and chairs with themedium category, with categories of stone material from the medium, such as the work process collecting,splitting, collecting and collating the stone with the medium category, and work environment with the mediumcategory. Workers are expected to wear the working tools such as carts and wearing personal protectiveequipment such as masks and gloves in order to reduce the risk of hazards during work.Keywords: risk assessment , stone breaking employees. Abstract

Worker in the informal batik sector provide potential health risk in their work, such as exposure by synthetic chemicals that used in the production process of batik and un ergonomic working posture. The purpose of this study was determine the difference in knowledge, attitude and practice of prevention of workplace accidents before and after safety induction. It was use pre - experiment research method with pre and post test design. The population of this studied was to batik craftsman with totally numbers 14 people and the sample was taken as many as total of the population. The data were processed by bivariate Wilcoxon test analysed with the significance p<0,05. From the Wilcoxon statistical test found difference of knowledge (p = 0.002), difference of attitude (p = 0.003), and difference of accident in prevention practice before and after safety induction (p = 0.002). The result of this study showed difference of knowledge, attitude, and practice in prevention workplace accident before and after safety induction the batik craftsman in Kampung Batik Semarang.

Abstract

Background: Low back pain, pain that is felt in the affected anatomical area with a variety of long occurrence of pain. This pain feels lumbar or lumbo-sacral. Tea pickers are at risk of low back pain due to their activities such as the position of bending, lifting and carrying heavy loads. This research aim to factors that risk against the incident of low back pain.Method: Total sample of 132 respondents: 66 cases and 66 controls were selected randomly from the tea pickers workers. Data analysis using Chi Square and logistic regression to know the mostdominant factor.Results: There was relationship of employment, back posture, heavy weights with low back pain (P <0.05). There was not relationship age, sex, smoking, body mass index and physical activity with low back pain (p>0.05). Multivariate analysis using logistic regression showed the most dominant working period affecting low back pain. The study found that low back pain was a relevant health problem among tea picker workers. The policy of arranging breaks and lifting techniques is required to prevent low back pain.Keywords: Low back pain, risk factors, the tea pickers

Abstract

The officers of substation highway is one of the very risky exposure to the effects of lead, from the results of levels of Pb (Lead) in the blood of 2010 conducted by PT XXX showed that average 15.252 ug / dl. This data is above 10 ug / dl, according to Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the concentration of Pb in blood in adults should not exceed 10 ug / dl. This study uses quantitative methods with Explanatory Research with cross sectional approach, the sample size is 36 employees of PT XXX. Results showed the majority (89%) of the respondents with Pb poisoning prevention practices are less good, that the variables of knowledge is the most influential variables on Pb poisoning prevention practices on toll road officers Bandung.

Abstract

SPBU merupakan tempat yang memiliki tingkat risiko kebakaran besar (Major Hazard Accident), yaitu apabila terjadi kecelakaan akan menimbulkan kerugian yang sangat besar, baik kerugian nyawa manusia maupun kerugian material lainnya, dan kecelakaan tersebut pernah terjadi di salah satu SPBU di Kabupaten Blora. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi praktik keselamatan kebakaran pada operator SPBU di Kabupaten Blora. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah explanatory research, metode yang digunakan adalah survei dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah total populasi dengan jumlah 73 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara praktik keselamatan kebakaran dengan umur, jenis kelami), tingkat pendidikan, status pernikahan ), pengetahuan, sikap, peraturan, sarana/fasilitas , supervisi, rekan kerja. Terdapat variable yang paling dominan yang mempengaruhi praktik keselamatan kebakaran yaitu sikap dengan nilai signifikasi 0,044 dan nilai OR sebesar 5,011 Kata Kunci : Operator SPBU, praktik keselamatan kebakaran ABSTRACT Risk Factors Concerning The Fire Safety Practices of The Fuel Station Operator in Blora; A fuel station is a place having a major fire hazard accident level, in which, if an accident happens, it may cause major loss in both casualties and other material loss; and such accident had ever taken place a fuel station in Blora. This research had an objective to finding out the factors effecting fire safety practices of the fuel station operator in Blora. The used research type was an explanotory research; the used method was a survey with a cross sectional study approach. The samples used in this research were the total population as many as 73 respondents. The research result showed that there were correlation between the fire safety practices and age, sex, educational level, marital status, knowledge, attitude, rules, facilities / amenities, supervision, coworkers. There most dominant variable affecting the fire safety practises, with was attitude, with the significance value of 0.044 and OR value of 5.011 Keywords : gas stations operator, fire safety practices

Abstract

Background: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is one of work related disease that would be a big problem in industrial health. CTS are related to some factors including Individual, work, and health. About 60% jasmine pluckier in Karangcengis Village show some symptoms of CTS such as painful, numbness, and cramps. CTS case was determined based on NIOSH criteria including the symptoms of CTS, physical diagnosis by phalen test, and the historical occupation. The aim of this research was to show the association between characteristics, repetitive motionfrequency, and health factors with carpal tunnel syndrome among jasmine pluckier in Karangcengis Village, Purbalingga.Method: This research was an explanatory research using cross sectional approach. Sample of this research was the jasmine pluckier comprise of 72 workers selected by non probability convenience sample (accidental sample) method.Result: Statistics test using chi-square test (á =0,05) showed that age (p=1,000), duration of work (p=0,913), years of work (p=0,187), and health factors (p=0,083) had no relation to CTS, but repetitive motion frequency (p=0,013) had relationship with CTS.Keywords: CTS, risk factors, jasmine pluckier.
