Abstract

Gubeng Station under PT. KAI DAOP 8 Surabaya requires a backup power source, such as a backup battery as a replacement for the main battery, to ensure continuous operation of the station. So, regular maintenance is carried out for the backup battery by charging them. However, there is no monitoring system for battery charging because the internet access at a distance of ±37.92 meters via Ethernet and voltage data after charging has turned yellow making maintenance and monitoring of charging difficult. Therefore, this research aims to develop a battery charging monitoring system with a LoRa-based ethernet network. When testing this system by charging a 12 VDC 65 Ah battery, the system can monitor the voltage and charging current values using a voltage sensor and ACS712 recorded in real-time in the Android application with an ethernet-based LoRa module with a maximum distance between the sending and receiving devices of 97, 9 meters in non-LoS conditions. The system also succeeded in auto cut off and sent a notification in the application when charging was complete with a recorded voltage and current of 14.01 V -0.22 Amperes.

Abstract

Puskesmas Manduro is one of the public health service centers located at Jl. Raya Ngoro KM 14, Manduro MG Village, Ngoro District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java. As a basic health service center, it is important to monitor air quality and maintain air quality in accordance with the Environmental Quality Standard (SBMKL). This study aims to design an Internet of Things-based air quality detection system that utilizes Sansevieria plants as one of the natural solutions in absorbing air pollution levels. The method used is the research and development method which includes system design, tool making, website design, tool integration, and system testing. The sensors used are MQ-7 sensors for carbon monoxide gas, MQ-135 sensors for nitrogen dioxide gas, MQ-131 sensors for ozone gas, Dust GP2Y1010AU0F sensors for PM2.5, and DHT22 sensors for temperature and humidity. The results of testing the system for three days obtained the average temperature 30.64C, humidity 73.62%, CO 735.63 µg/m³. NO2 27.30 µg/m³, O3 32.13 30 µg/m³, and PM2.5 2.14 µg/m³. Based on the test results that have been carried out, it shows that the air quality monitoring system can provide data, graphs, and indicator levels for the Air Pollution Standard Index (ISPU). Air quality data obtained from sensors can be displayed on the LCD and also displayed in real-time through the website.

Abstract

Currently, air conditions on earth are getting worse over time due to the impact of air pollution. One example of air pollution is motor vehicle exhaust emissions. Exhaust gas emissions are the result of combustion residue in motor vehicle engines that use fuel. Motor vehicle exhaust emissions contain carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), carbon dioxide gas (CO2) which have a negative impact on the environment and living creatures. This research will create a motor vehicle exhaust emission detection device. In this design, an Arduino microcontroller was used and the manufacture of this tool used an MQ-7 gas sensor to detect carbon monoxide (CO) gas, an MQ-2 sensor to detect hydrocarbon gas (HC), and an MQ-135 to detect carbon dioxide (CO2) gas. The emission test results will be sent to the application, this data includes plate number, vehicle type, vehicle brand, vehicle year and emission test results. The results of the carbon monoxide (CO) gas sensor calibration test taken from 5 data showed an error of 5.51%. The results of the hydrocarbon (HC) gas sensor calibration test taken from 5 data showed an error of 4.23%. The results of the carbon dioxide (CO2) gas sensor calibration test taken from 5 data showed an error of 1.06%. In the implementation of the tool and application, the test results were obtained for 15 vehicles. Where the highest hydrocarbon (HC) gas content value was 412 ppm, the highest carbon monoxide (CO) gas content value was 1.48%, and the highest carbon dioxide (CO2) gas content value was 21.4%.

Abstract

Abstract

Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a very efficient and popular modulation technique in modern wireless communication systems. OFDM offers advantages in terms of spectrum efficiency, resistance to multi-path interference, and is able to support high data rates. This OFDM system uses the concept of Software Defined Radio (SDR) because it is able to implement directly with the help of USRP B210 hardware. The OFDM system consists of a transmitter and receiver that are processed by digital signal processing to encode, decode, and modulate data. This study uses GNU Radio software as a transmitter and receiver model. The purpose of this study is to compare the performance of real-time data transmission through the AWGN (Additive White Gaussian Noise) and Rayleigh Fading channels. The results of the study show that the performance of the OFDM system built, namely the use of BPSK modulation on the AWGN channel has the best performance with the lowest BER results of 0.376 and SNR 14 dB.
