ABSTRACT Cesarean section (CS) deliveries have increased significantly both globally and nationally, exceeding the World Health Organization’s (WHO) recommended rate of 10–15%. In the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the CS rate reached 30.2% in 2022. This increase is accompanied by risks of post-CS complications such as infection, thrombosis, and delayed recovery. Early mobilization after CS has been proven effective in accelerating the healing process and preventing various complications. However, many mothers still lack understanding of the importance of early mobilization. This study aimed to determine the level of knowledge among postpartum mothers regarding early mobilization after CS at Nur Hidayah Hospital Bantul in 2025. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive design and a cross-sectional method. The study sample consisted of 30 postpartum mothers after CS in April to May 2025, selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire, and analyzed univariately with categories of good, sufficient, and poor knowledge. The study found that participants were predominantly aged 20–35 (76.7 years), had a high school education (50%), were housewives (70%), and had one child (43.3%). Knowledge of early mobilization after a CS was categorized as good (90%), fair (10%), and none were considered poor. It is concluded that most postpartum mothers at Nur Hidayah Hospital Bantul had good knowledge of early mobilization after CS. ABSTRAK Persalinan sectio caesarea (SC) mengalami peningkatan signifikan secara global dan nasional, melampaui standar WHO sekitar 10–15%.
