Abstract

This community service aims to provide education and socialization in understanding the dangers, prevention, transmission, and how to break the chain of the spread of covid-19. The method used in this community service is in education and socialization of a clean and healthy lifestyle to anticipate the spread of Covid-19 by distributing masks, making hand sanitizer s, washing clean and correct hands, and doing healthy exercise. The result of this community service activity is that residents gain knowledge through the education and socialization stages in distributing free masks, making hand sanitizer s, and washing their hands clean and properly. The implementation of education and outreach encourage residents of Lubok Batee Village practicing a clean and healthy lifestyle. They understand how to use masks, provide hand washing facilities, avoid direct contact with other residents, comply with health protocols, know the types of disposable masks and types of re-wash masks. Furthermore, they have better understanding the lifestyle patterns and behaviors in society by consuming healthy foods in a balanced manner.

Abstract

This study was the correlation between language learning strategies and students’ thinking styles. This study aimed to determine whether there is a significant correlation between language learning strategies and student thinking styles. This study used a quantitative correlational approach as a research method. The data were collected by Likert scale questionnaire. The research data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 program. This program was used to find out whether there is a significant correlation between language learning strategies (X) and students‟ thinking styles (Y). The result of the questionnaire showed there is a positive correlation between language learning strategies and student thinking styles. It can be proved by the correlation coefficient (r count) and significance value (ρ) got from the calculation r count = 0.507, ρ = 0.002 < 0.05. Based on the findings of the data analysis, there is positive significant relationship between language learning strategies and student thinking styles of students’ English education department IAIN Langsa.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract Soft drinks are drinks that do not contain alcohol and these drinks are included in drinks with the addition of other ingredients, both natural and synthetic ingredients which are packaged in ready-to-consume packages. Soft drinks contain a high concentration of simple carbohydrates such as glucose, fructose, sucrose and other sugar content found in these soft drinks which have a major influence on children's health. Children in Lamcot Village choose to consume soft drinks to relieve thirst and fatigue after playing. This research use desciptive qualitative approach. Data collection methods include observation, interviews and documentation. As for the targets in this study were children with an age range of 5-12 years. In addition to educating, it also aims to increase knowledge and awareness about the importance of reducing consumption of soft drinks and drinking more mineral water as recommended. Keywords: Soft Drink, Children, Lamcot Village Abstrak Minuman ringan (Soft Drink) merupakan minuman yang tidak terkadung alkohol dan minuman ini termasuk kedalam minuman dengan tambahan bahan lainnya baik bahan alami dan sintetik yang dikemas dalam kemasan siap untuk dikonsumsi. Minuman ringan mengandung konsentrasi karbohidrat sederhana yang tinggi seperti glukosa, fruktosa, sukrosa serta kandungan gula lain yang terdapat pada minuman ringan tersebut yang memiliki pengaruh besar pada kesehatan anak-anak. Anak-anak di Desa Lamcot memilih untuk mengonsumsi minuman ringan untuk menghilangkan rasa haus dan lelah setelah bermain. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Adapun yang menjadi sasaran pada penelitian ini adalah anak-anak dengan rentang usia 5-12 tahun. Selain untuk mengedukasi juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran tentang pentingnya mengurangi mengonsumsi minuman ringan dan memperbanyak meminum air mineral sesuai dengan yang dianjurkan. Kata Kunci: Minuman Ringan, Anak-anak, Desa Lamcot

Abstract

Karakter merupakan, sifat, sikap atau kebiasaan yang mendarah daging. tidak dapat dibentuk dari kebiasaan. Pada saat yang sama, kebiasaan itu sendiri hanyalah buah dari pemikiran manusia. Dari semula, manusia mengembangkan kebiasaan-kebiasaan tertentu, namun dalam perkembangan selanjutnya, manusia dibentuk menurut kebiasaannya sendiri. Artikel ini berfokus pada pembentukan karakter pada anak melalui metode pembacaan  Al-Qur'an melalui tadris ramadhan. Metode ini dipilih karena cerita-cerita Al-Quran mengandung hikmah yang mudah diserap oleh anak-anak sehingga dapat mempengaruhi pola pikir yang berujung pada perubahan kebiasaan kemudian mengubah pola pikir dan kebiasaan sehingga anak menjadi generasi Al-Qur'an. Proses pengembangan karakter menurut Al-Qur'an meliputi identifikasi karakter, pemahaman, penerapan, pembiasaan, penanaman, penyerapan. Melalui pendidikan karakter ini diharapkan akan lahir manusia yang mempunyai kebebasan menentukan pilihannya sendiri tanpa paksaan dan penuh rasa tanggung jawab. Yakni manusia yang mandiri, dinamis, kreatif, inovatif dan bertanggung jawab terhadap Tuhan, diri sendiri, umat, masyarakat, bangsa dan negara.

Abstract

Era digital membawa tantangan baru dalam pendidikan, terutama di institusi pendidikan tinggi Islam, yang dituntut untuk tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan akademis tetapi juga membentuk karakter mahasiswa melalui pendidikan akhlak. Artikel ini mengkaji integrasi pendidikan akhlak dalam kurikulum pendidikan tinggi Islam di era digital, dengan fokus pada tantangan dan strategi implementasi. Studi ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai akhlak dapat membantu mahasiswa menghadapi pengaruh negatif teknologi, seperti penyebaran hoaks dan ujaran kebencian di media sosial. Melalui strategi seperti revisi kurikulum, pengembangan modul pendidikan akhlak, pelatihan dosen, dan kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, integrasi pendidikan akhlak dapat dilakukan secara holistik. Dengan pendekatan ini, mahasiswa diharapkan tidak hanya unggul secara akademis tetapi juga memiliki moralitas yang tinggi untuk berkontribusi positif di masyarakat.

Abstract

Islamic Religious Education (PAI) is an important subject that can help students understand and practice Islamic teachings in their daily lives. Therefore, choosing a fun PAI learning strategy that encourages students to be proactive in this subject is important, so that the material presented by the teacher is absorbed by students. Here the role of the teacher is very urgent to create a lively classroom atmosphere, so that all students actively follow the lesson. For this, the application of an active learning strategy is one way to realize this. In order for the implementation of an active learning strategy to run well in schools/educational institutions, there are supporting factors in the implementation of active learning such as the commitment of PAI teachers in educating their students, high student enthusiasm for learning, and the role of the school (principal and staff) is very supportive of creating an active learning atmosphere. Likewise, the completeness of the facilities and infrastructure is one of the supporting factors for the smooth implementation of the active learning strategy. The role of teachers in implementing active learning can also not be maximized if there are school regulations that do not support change, limited teacher creativity in understanding active learning, there are teachers who do not plan learning as expected in the active learning strategy, there are teachers who still dominate the space in delivering material, and the lack of teachers in giving awards (rewards) to students.

Abstract

Debaters are examined as students who possess advance English speaking performance compared to other English Department students. In real life, debaters are fighting by themself as autodidac learners to develop their speaking performance since there was no specific course provided for that purposes. This qualitative study aimed to explore the debaters’ strategy in developing their speaking performance using self-development approach. The participants were four selected debaters from Zawiyah English Club (ZEC), a students’ speaking community for preparing debaters in Langsa State Islamic Instititute (IAIN Langsa). The purposive sampling method was used in selecting the participants as only four debaters who have experienced debate contests were chosen. The descriptive qualitative approach was used with interview as research data collection instruments. In analyzing the data, thematic analysis was applied using Reinder’s cyclical nature of autonomous learning (2010). The resarchers found that all of the participants were aware of their learning needs and goals, they knew how to select their learning materials, and they spent about 1-2 hours per day to practice developing their speaking. They monitored their progress based on the mistakes they have made or their peer’s feedback in the ZEC club. From 8 stages suggested by Reinder (2010), almost all of the stages were followed by the participants as their learning strategies. It could be concluded that they are practicing their self-development strategy through implementing autonomous learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out what are the reflection of students’ achievement after learning sentences structure grammar II at IAIN Langsa.Reflection represents serious consideration of past actions and experiences with the aim to evaluate them for future actions. This research was qualitative that conducted in one class. The data has been taken by questionnaires and interviews. It is a descriptive survey research including questionnaires and interview. After collecting the data, they were analyzed and described to have the final results. The result of this thesis illustrates that there are several students’ achievement reflections after learning grammar II at IAIN Langsa. There such the awareness of students of independent learning and the awareness of students about the role of students in solving a problem.

Abstract

Scientific publication is one of the main indicators in assessing the academic quality of a lecturer and higher education institution. However, many lecturers still face obstacles in improving the quality and quantity of their publications. One solution to overcome this problem is to apply bibliometric methods in scientific research and publications. Bibliometrics is a data analysis technique that allows researchers to identify research trends, scientific collaboration, and the impact of publications. This community service activity aims to increase the capacity of STAI Nusantara Banda Aceh lecturers in scientific publications through bibliometric training. This training includes an introduction to the basic concepts of bibliometrics, the use of software such as VOSviewer and Publish or Perish, and publication strategies in reputable journals. The evaluation results showed that after attending the training, there was an increase in lecturers' understanding of bibliometric concepts as well as increased motivation in writing and publishing scientific articles. This activity is expected to contribute to improving the quality of scientific publications of lecturers and the academic reputation of STAI Nusantara Banda Aceh.
