Abstract

Radiology is a medical science that focuses on imaging technology. with results in the form of images /images for. to establish a diagnosis by looking at parts of the human body using X-rays so as to be able to provide professional examination services. The results of research that have been conducted at Aulia Hospital regarding the selection of CT scanogram settings for head scans with clinical chepalgia using the upper limit of the vertex and the lower limit of the mandibular because the location of the abnormality in the patient is not known whether in the nerve or sinus, if the scanogram is made to the lower limit of the petrous pars it still cuts the cerebrum so that the sinuses are still cut. whereas in the Radiology installation of Reksodiwiryo Padang Hospital uses a scanogram of the lower limit of the cranii base and the upper limit of the vertex to minimize the radiation received by the patient. Based on this, socialization activities through a pocket book of research results were carried out at Reksodiwiryo Padang Hospital on August 10, 2023 starting at 08.00 - 12.00 WIB, with participants being radiographers in the Radiology installation of Reksodiwiryo Padang Hospital.  The methods used were lecture, discussion and question and answer. With communication that is two way traffic, there is a direct reciprocal relationship between the speaker and the participants or vice versa. This method applied can focus the attention of participants in training to develop thinking power and skills to express opinions in the form of exchanging information in solving a problem. The results of the socialization of the pocket book of research results on the effectiveness of CT scan management of the head with clinical chepalgia were 98% able to increase radiographers' knowledge in the selection of scanogram settings on CT scans of the head with chepalgia able to produce images that enforce dignosa

Abstract

Background: The technique of examining the wrist joint to see abnormalities in the carpalia region, especially in the scaphoid os, there is a special technique, namely ulnar deviation with variations of the central ray 150 to 250 proximally. Purpose: To determine in which direction the light is to assess the optimal scaphoid anatomy. Method: data retrieval is done by shooting wrst joints with 15x and 25x proximaly rays. Result: The direction of the angular ray is 15 degrees of scapoid which is free from overlapping and more informative. Conclusion: The average value of the results of the questionnaire processing is obtained on the technique with 15o ray variation of 3.2733 with a value of 0.083.

Abstract

Keselamatan kerja radiasi merupakan perlindungan kepada seseorang, sekelompok orang, kepada keturunan terhadap kemungkinanan yang merugikan kesehatan akibat paparan radiasi. Pemanfaatan sumber radiasi harus dilakukan secara cermat,mematuhi ketentuan keselamatan kerja. Kepatuhan pada penerapan dasar proteksi radiasi, harus dilakukan secara cermat. Kepatuhan penerapan aturan keselamatan radiasi sebagai upaya menghindari efek negatif akibat pemanfaatan radiasi. Fenomena pada mahasiswa, memiliki kecenderungan kurang patuh  penerapan aturan proteksi radiasi, mengabaikan keselamatan kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara kepatuhan dengan demografi mahasiwa prodi D3 Radiologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cros sectional, dengan teknik total sampling sebanyak 205. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan kuisoner. Pengolahan data menggunakan menggunakan Uji Chii Square. Pengujian hipotesa , dengan nilai p 0,97(p >0,05) sehinga H0 diterima dan Ha di tolak, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kepatuhan dengan jenis kelamin. Pengujian hipotesa nilai p 0,424 sehingga Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat kepatuhan dengan umur. Pengujian hipotesa p  0,203 sehingga Ho diterima dan Ha ditolak, tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tingkat kepatuhan dengan tahun masuk Kuliah. Kepatuhan penerapan dasar proteksi radiasi eksternal meliputi pengaturan jarak, waktu dan penggunaan perisai . Pengujian hipotesa, diperoleh tidak terdapat hubungan dengan umur, jenis kelamin dan tahun masuk kuliah. Kepatuhan penerapan suatu hal tidak dapat secara langsung di kaitkan oleh umur,jenis kelamin karena kepatuhan juga di pengaruhi oleh pengawasan, dan adanya reward/punishment.

Abstract

The collimator is a part of the x-ray device that has the function of regulating the size of the field. If this field is not aligned, the anatomy that should enter the irradiation field is not exposed to radiation. The large number of exposures performed can result in a mismatch between the area of the irradiation field and the X-ray beam produced. Distance variations are used to determine the suitability or value of the shift in the collimator field area tested. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a collimator on an X-ray plane by determining the similarity of the collimated beam with the X-ray beam.The type of research used is quantitative with experimental methods in the radiology installation of Andalas University Hospital Padang in August 2023 with variations of FFD 90 cm, 100 cm, 110 cm, and 120 cm. The measuring instrument used collimator test tool with collimation size 14x18 cm using small focal spot and large focal sp-axis (horizontal) and Y-axis (vertical) values by not exceeding 3% of FFD (ΔX + ΔY ≤ 3% of FFD).The test results of the collimator beam similarity test with FFD distance variations that comply with the tolerance limit ≤ 2% FFD are at FFD 100 cm, 110 cm, and 120 cm when using a small focal spot. While those that do not match or exceed the tolerance limit ≤ 2% FFD are FFD 90 cm small focal spot, FFD 90 cm, 100 cm, 110 cm, and 120 cm when using a large focal spot. Collimation that is feasible to use in the radiographic imaging process on a small focal spot with a distance (FFD) starting from 100 cm. The large focal spot is not feasible to use and needs to be improved.Keywords: Conformity test, Beam collimation, FFD distance variation

Abstract

An exposure factor that is too high can result in radiography results that are too black (dark), and an exposure factor that is too low can result in results that are white (bright). Providing an inappropriate exposure factor can prevent the radiograph from providing the best information. When the exposure factor is set properly, radiographic contrast can be maximized, allowing different organs with varying densities to be clearly distinguished from one another in terms of blackness. This kind of research combines an experimental study with quantitative methods. The experimental approach can be understood as a research technique to compare treatments with one another in a controlled environment in order to compare kV fluctuations in the pelvic phantom and achieve the best possible picture quality (contrast). The data processed in the Image J application in the form of a histogram graph is strengthened by data processing using SPSS and the Friedman test. Based on the results of the analysis of the Friedman test, there is an influence, the results obtained at kV 70 show the highest mean rank of 4.57 and in the image J application it shows at kV 70 with graphic results on the histogram of contrast levels which are good, then the radiographic results of the comparison of variations in kV versus contrast in the optimal pelvic phantom are obtained, namely at kV 70.

Abstract

In Indonesian, many natural materials actually have the potential to become radiation-blocking, including Bulian wood. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research on the absorption capacity of Bulianwood, which has the potential to be used as a radiation barrier. This research aims to determine the absorption capacity of Bulian wood thickness, which is equivalent to 2 mm Pb, using experimental methods. Thus, research was conducted in the laboratory of the radiology program study at Baiturrahmah University. The sample is the form of film density at each level of the step wedge with Bulian wood and timber with a thickness of 2 mm. The data was processed with bivariate analysis. The result  with the correlation test is the value of p = 0.00, so Ho rejected and ha is accepted so a significant relationship is obtained between the thicknes of 25 mm Wood Buliain and 2 mm PB

Abstract

CT Scan is an imaging modality that combines X-rays using the principles of Tomography with a computer as the data processor. Lung Window settings for CT Scan Thorax examination use Window level -500 HU. In the Radiology Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital, CT Scan Thorax examination uses Window level - 600 HU. This study aims to determine which Window level value is better from the variation of Window level values on the lung window - 400 HU, - 500 HU, and - 600 HU on the quality of CT Scan Thorax images with Lung Tumor cases on the Lung Window axial section. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research that is experimental. This research was conducted in the Radiology Installation of Dr. M. Djamil Padang Hospital. The population of this study were patients with CT Scan Thorax examinations with clinical Lung Tumors. The sample in this study amounted to 5 patients with a purposive sampling technique. Then the image results are varied using Window Level value variations - 400 HU, - 500 HU, and - 600 HU and then compared to see which Window Level variation produces optimal image quality. The best value that can display optimal image quality is the window level value of -600 HU because it can show the lung hilus and show pathology in detail and can display a better level of brightness in the image.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor internal yang mempengaruhi kejadian burnout pada radiografer di beberapa rumah sakit di Kota Padang. Burnout merupakan sindrom kelelahan fisik, emosional, dan mental yang sering terjadi pada tenaga kesehatan, termasuk radiografer, akibat dari beban kerja yang berat dan stres berkepanjangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross-sectional yang dilakukan di empat rumah sakit, yaitu Rs A, RS B, RS C, RS D in Padang. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel sebanyak 58 orang radiografer dengan teknik total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat dengan uji chi-square untuk melihat hubungan antara variabel independen (umur, jenis kelamin, pendidikan, lama bekerja, dengan variabel dependen (burnout). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 52,2% responden mengalami tingkat burnout yang tinggi. Faktor-faktor yang memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian burnout adalah umur (p = 0,004), lama bekerja (p = 0,000), desain organisasi/beban kerja (p = 0,002), dukungan rekan kerja (p = 0,017), dan kepemimpinan (p = 0,012). Sementara itu, jenis kelamin dan pendidikan tidak memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan burnout. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa faktor umur, lama bekerja, beban kerja, dukungan sosial, dan kepemimpinan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap burnout pada radiografer. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi dasar sebagai pembuat kebijakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas kerja dan menurunkan kejadian burnout pada radiografer.
