Abstract

The era of the third wave of media can reveal the dark dimensions of power. Private spaces that are hidden behind arrogant individuals are drawn into public spaces to become important topics. There is no secret other than the spread of issues on various media platforms. Various coverage from personal dimensions to policy areas is clearly revealed. Furthermore, to find out the background behind it, this study uses descriptive qualitative methods with the aim of obtaining data in order to explain the phenomena which is the theme of this research. From the results of the research analysis shows that the media are able to reveal dark spaces of power to the ability to eliminate practices that occur in them.

Abstract

Media must get control in order that the practice is not authoritative. In the context, when it is in an individualist form, it tends to produce information without considering the norm. In the individualist characteristic, all the information flow spread massively with the tendency for thick interest.  The research arranged to find out literacy activities in this chaotic era, using qualitative descriptive methods to uncover the minds of literacy avtivists in the information chaos era.  The aim is to find out the form of literacy in accordance with the chaotic conditions of information and literacy activities in growing public awareness in information management. The results showed that literacy forms carried out through the introduction of media (media knowledge) concerning the credibility of the media and recognizing the nature of mainstream and non-mainstream media. Another platform is digital literacy and management of public information. Meanwhile, to raise public awareness is done by producing digital content in anticipation of hoax news, making fact check content, media practices through radio broadcasts and websites, introduction to news construction.

Abstract

Abstract:. Regional area Pasirkoja is suburban in Bandung City which has existed netherland government before Indonesia independence which is part of area inhabited by the indigeneous people of Indonesia itself and by the Dutch company. With development of the time Pasirkoja has arrived by the chinese comunnity and also migrants from other regions that making region Pasirkoja Bandung City into diverse society. As time went Pasirkoja was limitated space an became narrow and densely populated. This research aims to provide data and phenomenal facts that happened in Region Pasirkoja Bandung City. The method use qualitative descriptived research. This research intented to describe phenomenon that exists that in in the field shape, activity, characteristic, change, relations, similarity,and differences phenomenon so in this study no manipulation was done just describe according to reality or condition of existing location.    Keyword: Regional Changes, Area DevelopmentAbstrak: Kawasan Daerah Pasirkoja adalah kawasan pemukiman di kota Bandung yang sudah ada sejak pada jaman pemerintahan Belanda sebelum Kemerdekaan Negara Indonesia yang sebagian daerahnya didiami oleh rakyat pribumi indonesia sendiri dan oleh masyarakat Belanda juga. Dengan berkembangnya seiring jaman daerah setelah era kemerdekaan daerah pasirkoja juga kedatangan masyarakat tionghoa dan juga banyak pendatang dari daerah lain dari pinggiran Kota Bandung yang mendiami Daerah tersebut sehingga daerah Pasirkoja Kota Bandung menjadi salah satu daerah dengan keberagaman penduduknya. Namun dengan seiring waktu dan jaman daerah pasirkoja dengan keterbatasaan ruang semakin sempit dan padat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan data dan fakta fenomena yang terjadi di daerah kawasan Pasirkoja Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mendeskripsikan atau menggambarkan fenomena-fenomena yang ada di lapangan seperti bentuk, aktivitas, karakteristik, perubahan, hubungan, kesamaan dan perbedaan fenomena sehingga dalam penelitian ini tidak dilakukan maniipulasi hanya menggambarkan sesuai kenyataan atau kondisi eksisting dillokasi.Kata Kunci : Perubahan Kawasan, Pengembangan Kawasan.

Abstract

Abstract: The torrent of information sprayed by different media platform is creating a public psychic atmosphere that is breaking down. Information that is breathed out interlaced and dispersed in mere seconde. This kind of dispersal pattern doesn’t give the public the opportunity to assess the truth of the information that comes to it. The public can only receive by wondering. The purpose of this study therefore, is to identify what literacy media activist do in the face of increasingly chaos situations and what activities they face. The new methodology used in this study is descriptive qualitative with a view to getting live data from activist moving in increasingly challenging situation. Reasearch has proved that media literacy is one of the proper solutions to ripening public knowledge of the variety of information that reaches him.Key words:   information, literacy, mediaAbstrak: Arus deras informasi yang disemburkan berbagai platform media meciptakan suasana psikis publik kian tercabik. Informasi-informasi yang dihembuskan saling bersusulan dan disebarkan hanya dalam hitungan detik. Pola penyebaran seperti ini tidak memberikan kesempatan kepada publik untuk menilai kebenaran informasi yang sampai kepadanya. Publik hanya dapat menerima dengan bertanya-tanya. Tujuan peneltiian ini untuk mengetahui langkah yang dilakukan aktivis literasi media dalam menghadapi situasi yang semakin chaos dan mengetahui kegiatan yang dilakukannya. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneltian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan maksud untuk mendapatkan data langsung dari para aktivis yang bergerak dalam situasi yang semakin menantang. Hasil peneltiian membuktikan bahwa literasi media sebagai salah satu solusi yang tepat dalam mencerdaskan pengetahuan publik mengenai berbagai informasi yang sampai kepadanya.Kata Kunci: informasi, literasi, media

Abstract

Politics ahead of the contestation cannot be separated from efforts to build an image. The key is to take advantage of the available time to optimize your appearance. Through visual polish and captivating narratives, the media is used as a means of channeling the desire for power. No matter the bad past track record, the quality and competence are still below average, all these shortcomings can be covered by packaging the symbol in such a way. Emphasis on the function of media influence, more emphasis on messages that explain that the figure who is being imaged as the successor of the national leadership has been conveyed. It's just that it is impossible to act openly by asking for support from the community, considering the rules forbid it. Instead, use the media as a manipulation tool to conjure up politicians to be popular in the eyes of their constituents. With regard to this theme, the research aims to reveal the messages used in political socialization. The approach used is a qualitative method with semiotic analysis techniques regarding the signs used by politicians in building self-image in the community. Keywords: politics, message, socialization

Abstract

Penelitin ini menitikberatkan pada aspek komunikasi sebagai strategi Partai Golkar Jawa Barat dalam menghadapi Pemilu 2014. Dalam pemilu ini, Partai Golkar Jawa Barat mengemban tugas relatif berat karena diharapkan memberi sumbangan siginifikan bagi perolehan suara secara nasional sebesar 30 persen. Di sisi lain, kekuatan Golkar Jawa Barat sudah melemah. Indikatornya, tercermin dalam Pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada). Sepanjang tahun 2013 atau setahun sebelum pemilu, kader Partai Golkar tidak memenangkan semua kontestasi. Berangkat dari kondisi tersebut, penelitian ini khusus mengenai aspek komunikasi yang hakikatnya adalah dasar pelaksanaan persaingan yang menjangkau pada teknik memenangkan hati publik, menguatkan komitmen, mengubah sikap, atau cara pandang politik. Penelitian ini didekati dengan menggunakan teori interaksionisme simbolik. Teori ini digunakan sebagai pedoman untuk meneliti tentang proses-proses komunikasi yang merupakan wujud dari pelaksanaan strategi. Sementara metode yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kualitatif secara studi kasus, untuk mengungkap informasi-informasi yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan strategi dari sudut pandang subjek untuk mengungkap bagaimana langkah dan upaya srategis yang dilakukan kader Partai Golkar dalam mempertahankan elektabilitas. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui sumber data primer dari pengamatan dan wawancara dengan para informan serta data sekunder dari dokumen dan internet. Hasil penelitian menujukkan, Partai Golkar Jabar tidak menekankan komunikasi sebagai aspek paling strategis. Komunikasinya lebih pada pengalaman partai secara organisasional. Dari sisi tema, tidak memproduksi pesan yang baru, begitupun dari sisi komunikator menampilkan kader yang minim pengaruh. Hal yang sama terjadi pada interaksinya yang lebih intens terjadi pada para konstituennya. Kata Kunci: strategi komunikasi, partai golkar, dan elektablitas

Abstract

Ibu rumah tangga dikategorikan sebagai pengatur lalu lintas informasi keluarga. Peranannya sangat sentral dalam mengontrol lalu lintas media yang bertebaran di gadget para anggota keluarga. Melalui dirinya, serbuan konten hoax atau fake news, hate speech, hingga malinformasi tertangkal. Ibu rumah tangga juga dapat menjadi embrio bagi ketahanan informasi masyarakat. Dari keluarga akan menebar ke lingkungan yang lebih. Tujuan membangun kesadaran bermedia dan meningkatkan ketahanan informasi dapat tercipta dengan banyaknya keluarga yang memiliki kecakapan dalam bermedia. Karena itu, untuk menambah jumlah ibu rumah tangga yang yang melek terhadap media, dilakukan kegiatan literasi. Agar mencerap informasi yang disampaikan, metode yang digunakan adalah face to face meeting dengan penyampaian materi yang dapat dimengerti mengenai penjelasan isi dan media melalui forum terbuka. Sebagai target group ibu-ibu warga Kecamatan Cibiru dapat memahami dan mengetahui mengenai media dengan segala isinya yang baik maupun yang mengandung efek kurang baik. Literasi media menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan kesadaran bermedia masyarakat.

Abstract

Initially the mass media acted as the sole interpreter of truth, but now it is divided into many versions of truth. The treatise of truth presented is distorted by the truths of media construction on the internet network. Truth is no longer valuable and becomes relative. This condition made people confused, believing the truth from the media soon disappeared because it was annulled by other media. However, the public cannot be separated from their dependence on information and always seek and apply themselves to the media. Based on this description, the research is directed to uncover the phenomenon of truth in the post-truth era by using qualitative methods that emphasize mainstream media strategies in spreading, shaping, and confirming public beliefs. The results of the study show that the strategy of upholding the truth is part of daily activities by penetrating online networks carried out by all subsidiaries by spreading the truth based on the ethical principles contained in the Journalistic Code of Ethics and the Basic Press Law, as well as value principles that refer to facts, objectivity. , as well as verification, as a guide to the value of information by educating the public about the types of verified information, conducting campaigns regarding media credibility, to efforts to support the movement to fight hoax.

Abstract

The digital transformation process uncovers evil. Migration from a manual pattern to an online-based system is only a condition that forces people to enter this service system. Without preparation and complete information, suddenly people are brought into a completely different atmosphere from the period they have experienced so far. Forced compulsion finally colored the journey to this new era coded 0 and 1. Various communication events, especially with regard to digital crime cases, one of which occurred by taking advantage of public ignorance. If this new era is considered a necessity, total preparation is needed. Not on the issue of infrastructure, but also mental spiritual and knowledge of the community. Responding to this problem, this research was conducted with the aim of knowing cyber crime in an atmosphere of a digitally illiterate society. Using a qualitative descriptive method, observed data sources from online media are analyzed to find clear relationships that cause the emergence of cybercrime. The results of the research show that people's lack of understanding of digital systems allows many victims to fall and fall into the traps set up by criminals. Therefore digital literacy activities must be carried out massively so that knowledge about digitalization does not trap victims. Digital literacy activities must be promoted as much as possible to touch all levels of society. This activity can be initiated by the government, private bodies, or community organizations.

Abstract

English is still considered a third language after the unified language of Indonesia and mother tongue. In the current conditions, when various regions around the world are connected to a global network, English is absolutely mastered. English is the main language that can connect all citizens of the world. As a language of instruction that facilitates the exchange of various potentials owned by a village, opens opportunities to foster interest in visiting world citizens, or opens up investment possibilities, or transactions to purchase regional wealth resources. Therefore, through community service activities, the English Literature lecturer at the National University of the Republic of Indonesia aims to provide English language skills to youth who are members of Youth Organizations and mothers who are members of the Family Welfare Development (PKK) in Sunten Jaya Lembang village, West Bandung Regency. PkM activities are carried out using lecture and discussion methods to provide proper understanding and teaching regarding English symbols that must be understood. The results obtained from this activity are awareness of the need to have English language skills, in order to be able to promote Sunten Jaya as an agricultural area worthy of being used as a tourist destination.Keywords: English, promotion, tourism, potential, Sunten Jaya
