Abstract

Guru SD seringkali mengalami masalah atau kesulitan dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran matematika di kelas khususnya pembelajaran pemecahan masalah. Masalah ini pula yang dialami oleh guru-guru SD di Gugus DianKecamatan Sano Nggoang Kabupaten Manggarai Barat. Mereka juga kurang memberi penekanan pada penanaman konsep dalam pembelajaran matematika. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, melalui PkM ini ditawarkan solusi sebagai berikut (a) penguatan pemahaman tentang konsep-konsep matematika dan pentingnya penanaman konsep dalam pembelajaran matematika melalui diskusi; (b) penguatan pemahaman guru terkait konsep, langkah-langkah, strategi pemecahan masalah dan contoh soal pemecahan masalah yang dilakukan melalui diskusi; (c) penguatan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam membelajarkan pemecahan masalah khususnya melalui penerapan teknik metacognitive guidance yang dilakukan melalui diskusi dan simulasi. Metode yang digunakan adalah diskusi, ceramah, dan simulasi. Kegiatan PkM ini berjalan dengan baik. Guru mitra terlibat secara aktif dalam berdiskusi, sharing pengetahuan dan pengalaman, dan melakukan simulasi. Kegiatan ini dinilai bermanfaat dan membantu mereka dalam menemukan solusi atas masalah atau kesulitan yang mereka alami dalam pembelajaran pemecahan masalah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Problem-Based Learning(PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas IV SDN Serayu. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dengan menggunakan Nonequivalent groups pretest-posttest control group design. Populasinya adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Serayu, Kota Yogyakarta. Sampelnya adalah adalah kelas IV A dan IV B. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dengan instrumen berupa rating scale dan tes dengan instrumen berupa soal tes. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif-kualitatif dan kuantitatif melalui uji beda dengan interval kepercayaan sebesar95%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model PBL berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan nilai sig. 0,000.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penguatan Profesionalisme Guru SDI Mbongos dan SDK Taga melalui Pelatihan Pengembangan Penilaian Autentik. Pengembangan profesionalisme guru perlu dilakukan khususnya dalam menjawab perubahan paradigmaa proses dan penilaian pembelajaran. Pelatihan pengembangan instrumen penilaian autentik bagi guru SDI Mbongos dan SDK Taga merupakan bagian dari pengembangan profesionalisme guru khususnya kompetensi pedagogisnya. Pelatihan tersebut didasarkan pada analisis kebutuhan guru yang diperoleh melalui FGD, wawancara, dan telaah RPP. Pelatihan tersebut dilakukan dengan melibatkan guru secara aktif dan kolaboratif dalam mengerjakan lembar kerja peserta yang berkaitan dengan beberapa macam bentuk penilaian autentik dan pengolahan hasil belajarnya. Hasilnya berupa sejumlah contoh instrumen penilaian autentik dan pengolahan nilai yang telah dikembangkan guru.

Abstract

Abstrak: Urgensi Asesor Bermutu terhadap Peningkatan Mutu Pendidikan. Asesor bermutu adalah asesor yang professional dan kredibel. Asesor bermutu merupakan salah satu pilar dalam meningkatkan mutu akreditasi demi peningkatan mutu pendidikan. Mengingat pentingnya asesor bermutu dalam pelaksanaan akreditasi sekolah maka peningkatan mutu asesor perlu terus menerus dilakukan yang antara lain melalui, (a) mekanisme perekrutan asesor yang akuntabel dan transparan, (b) peningkatan profesionalisme dan integritas asesor melalui pelatihandan ongoing formation, dan (c) pengawasan dan evaluasi terhadap kinerja asesor.

Abstract

Abstract

Problem solving competency is an urgent competency in 21st century indicated by human resource competing. Therefore, learning in schools, included mathematical learning, should addres this challenge. Mathematical learning should be aimed at making students learning about and through problem solving. For this sake, teachers should take atention to multiple factors that impact the effective teaching of problem solving.

Abstract

One aspect that needs to be considered in writing narrative texts is grammar. Mastery of grammar, for language learners, is very important especially in writing narrative texts. One of the web applications that can help academics and language learners, in checking language, especially grammar in narrative text writing, is the automatic grammar checker. An automatic grammar checker is a web application that can check the grammar in a written work. This research was to determine student perceptions of Grammarly application in checking grammar in writing narrative texts. The approach used to describe the focus of this research is a qualitative approach. This research was conducted in July 2019. The population of this research was the third-semester students of English Education the Department, STKIP YPUP Makassar, in the 2018/2019 school year. The total number of the population is 90 students. To get the research sample, the researcher used the purposive sampling technique. The research sample amounted to 10 people. Data collection techniques used in this research are technical tests and filling out questionnaires. The reason of researcher used technical tests and filling out questionnaires so that data more representative, valid, and accurate. There are two questionnaires used by the researcher in this research, namely the first open-ended questions and the second closed question. After the data was collected, the researcher then analyzed the data. The process of data analysis: checked and read the result of questionnaires, analyzed and reduced questionnaire data descriptive, and finally describe data and information in the form of the final report on the research result In this research, it was found that students had a positive perception of using the Grammarly application to check grammar in writing narrative texts. The respondents said that they strongly agree to use the Grammarly application in checking grammar in their narrative text writing. They are very satisfied with the quality of this application in checking the grammar in their writing.

Abstract

The mathematical problem solving ability of elementary school students in Indonesia is still low, which is confirmed through a number of surveys or research. This indicates that there are problems that occur in the learning process of solving math problems in elementary school. This study aims to describe problems of problem solving instruction and efforts to improve students' ability in solving mathematics problems in elementary school. This research is a library research that use books and articles as main data resources. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive analytical methods and comparative analysis methods. The results of this study indicate that the problems faced in learning mathematics problem solving in elementary schools are: 1) teachers lack emphasis on problem solving, 2) teachers experience misconceptions related to problem solving, 3) teachers have difficulty in teaching problem solving, 4) teachers still applying the teacher centered learning model, and 5) teachers' erroneous perceptions about problem solving and learning so that it has implications for their learning. Efforts to improve students' ability in solving mathematical problems in elementary school are: 1) innovating mathematics learning, namely implementing mathematics learning with problem solving, 2) giving non-routine questions as a way to improve problem solving abilities of elementary school students, 3) familiarize students with applying problem-solving steps directed through metacognitive guidance techniques, and 4) teachers must strive for learning using learning models that can provide opportunities and encourage students to practice students' mathematical problem solving skills.

Abstract

This study aims at producing a suitable and effective thematic-integrative instructional kit based on the PBL model to improve the critical thinking ability and care-for-environment character of the fourth graders of SDN Serayu. It used the RD design of Borg and Gall. The subjects were teachers and students of grade four of SDN Serayu, Yogyakarta City. The data were obtained through interviews, a questionnaire, observation, and a test. The product effectiveness was tested by using a quasi-experiment. The data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively through t-test at 95% confidence interval. The results showed that the product is suitable for use, which is evidenced by the mean score of syllabi at 44.5, lesson plan at 74, the instructional textbook at 56.5, students worksheet at 33.5, and the assessment instrument at 21, all of which are in a very good category. The product could improve the students’ critical thinking ability which is evidenced by the significance value standing at 0.000 for t-test of two experimental groups (IVA and IVC) with the control group  (IVB). The product was effective in improving the care-for-environment character of students which is evidenced by the significance value standing at 0.000 for t-test of two experimental groups with the control group.
