Abstract

On Agricultural Road Mekar Sari Village, Benua Kayong District, Ketapang Regency, West Kalimantan there are still roads that are separated by the flow of the river where the roads can be used by farmers in bringing their agricultural products to their destination, therefore the construction of bridges must be carried out at that location. At this time the planner used a type of concrete floor wooden bridge that was in accordance with the needs in the field. The objectives to be achieved are to make a plan drawing and calculate the budget required for the construction of a bridge on Road Agriculture. To obtain the data in this study, researchers used field observations and data collection for the 2021 Ketapang Regency material unit price list from PUPR to make the RAB. After making the plan drawings and analyzing the RAB calculation, the total cost needed for the construction of the bridge on Road Agriculture, Mekar Sari Village, is Rp. 31.357.000

Abstract

Gatot Subroto – Jl. R. Suprapto 13,1 smp/km. Kapasitas ruas jalan sebesar 5.422,3 smp/jam. Nilai tingkat pelayanan jalan didapat nilai A

Abstract

Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani, Ketapang Regency is an arterial road with environmental types, namely commercial and existing side barriers that have an impact on traffic performance due to activities beside or on the side of the road. From each of these roads, equipped with a median along with median openings to coordinate movements U-Turn. U-Turn is one way of solving in traffic management city arterial road. With the aim of knowing the characteristics and capacity of traffic as well as the level of road service on the Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani. This matter impact on traffic characteristics, road capacity and level of service the way to be applied in research using guidelines MKJI 1997. From the results of research and discussion obtained on Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani with the value of traffic flow characteristics on traffic volume traffic in the direction of Jalan. Jenderal Ahmad Yani - Jalan. Merdeka at 261.95 pcu/hour and for the direction of Jalan.Merdeka - Jalan.Jenderal Ahmad Yani of 159.45 pcu/hour. Vehicle speed on Jalan General Ahmad Yani - Jalan. Merdeka of 31.41 km/hour and Jalan Merdeka – Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani at 34.02 km/hour. The traffic density on Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani – Jalan Merdeka is 8.34 smp/km and Jalan Merdeka – Jalan Jenderal Ahmad Yani of 4.69 pcu/km with traffic capacity of 1,285.90 pcu/hour. Road service level value got B and A grades.

Abstract

Concrete is a widely used construction material, but its production has a negative impact on the environment. This study aims to determine the effect and optimal percentage of using palm kernel shells and coconut fiber in concrete mixtures on the compressive strength of concrete. The research method involved making a variety of concrete mixes with the replacement of conventional aggregates by palm kernel shells as coarse aggregate and coconut fiber as fine aggregate. Four mix variations were tested: A (1% coconut fiber, 5% palm kernel shell), B (2% coconut fiber, 5% palm kernel shell), C (1% coconut fiber, 10% palm kernel shell), and D (2% coconut fiber, 10% palm kernel shell). Compressive strength testing was conducted at 7, 14, and 28 days of concrete age. The analysis showed that variation A, with 1% coir and 5% palm kernel shell, produced the closest compressive strength to normal concrete. ANOVA tests confirmed the significant effect of these mixtures on compressive strength. The contribution of this research lies in the development of alternative concrete materials that are more environmentally friendly, utilizing agricultural waste to reduce dependence on natural resources and lower the carbon footprint of the construction industry.

Abstract

In a construction project, roof tiles and ceramics that are cracked (broken) are often thrown away as construction waste. Apart from that, house demolition activities also produce roof tile and ceramic shards that are not reused. No one has conducted research where this wastes is used as a substitute for cement. This research aims to determine the effect of roof tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement on the compressive strength value of concrete. Experimental methods were used in this research. Observations were carried out at the structure and materials laboratory, Ketapang State Polytechnic. The results of the research show that the effect of using tile and ceramic fragments as a substitute for cement with varying percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic in concrete has an effect on the compressive strength value. The greater the percentage of tile and ceramic fragments used in the concrete mixture, the more the compressive strength value of the concrete will decrease. The average compressive strength of concrete at 7 days between normal concrete and concrete with varing percentages of 5% tile, 5% ceramic, 5% tile and ceramic, and 10% tile and ceramic has a comparative value of 12.76 M.Pa, 12.03 MPa, 12.16 MPa, and 11.03 MPa. The average estimated compressive strength of concrete aged 28 days has comparative values of 19.00 MPa, 18.51 MPa, 18.71 MPa, 17.43 MPa, and 16.97 MPa.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with a high risk of natural disasters, due to its position between major tectonic plates and in the Pacific Ring of Fire. This condition makes Indonesia prone to disasters. However, the low level of student understanding of disaster response measures shows the importance of disaster education from an early age. This community service activity aims to improve the understanding and preparedness of SMKN 1 Ketapang students in facing disasters through socialization and simulation of disaster management. The activity method consists of socializing disaster material with the help of visual aids and direct simulations guided by the BPBD team. Through the stages of preparation, socialization, and simulation, students were given an in-depth understanding of the types of disasters, evacuation techniques, and the use of light fire extinguishers (APAR). The evaluation results showed a significant increase in understanding from 30% to 80% after this activity was implemented. This increase shows that disaster education involving theory and practice is effective in building students' awareness and preparedness. This program is expected to be continued regularly to build a culture of disaster preparedness among school students.
