Abstract

Corruption is one of the most crucial problems that continues to whack Indonesia. Corruption has penetrated almost all sectors of state life. The community also became the most suffering victim. Although corruption eradication continues to be carried out, the community seems pessimistic about its success. Almost every day, law enforcers take action, both from arresting to court proceedings. On the one hand, it is evidence that corruption eradication continues. But on the other hand, it is also an indication that corruption has become a latent threat that seems to never end. To overcome the threatening effects of this corruption, the state also takes precautionary action in addition to eradication. Eradication actions take the downstream section, which is after the act of corruption is indicated. Whereas precautionary actions take the upstream section, which is to anticipate for the presence of new corruptors in the future. The role of Islamic education in Indonesia is in the upstream section. Islamic education has had a major contribution to the nation since long before the independence day up to these days. Islamic education often turns up as one of the solutions to national problems. When the threat of corruption hits, Islamic education is again demanded to show its role.

This study aims to compare distance learning innovations carried out by Islamic Religious Education teachers in madrasahs and schools. The innovations compared are based on five aspects of Roger's theory, namely; relative advantage, compatibility, testability, observability, and complexity. The research method used is a comparative study with a quantitative approach. Data was collected using a Likert Scale questionnaire that used four levels of choice. The data obtained from the field were analyzed objectively. The data analysis technique used Mann-Whitney U as a non-parametric test. This analysis technique was chosen because the data were not normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is no difference in innovation in terms of relative advantage, compatibility, testability, and observability because of the Asymp.Sig 2 tailed score is greater than 0.05. Asymp.Sig score on relative advantage 0.768. Asymp.Sig scores on compatibility 0.170. Asymp.Sig scores on testability 0.215. Score on observability 0.173. The difference in innovation is only in the aspect of complexity with a score of Asymp.Sig 2 tailed 0.007 0.05. The study found that the innovations carried out by the two groups of Islamic Religious Education teachers were relatively the same, only differing in one aspect, namely complexity

The research location was in Medan City with respondents from Islamic religious education teachers. This type of research is field research using a quantitative approach. Hypothesis testing analysis uses nonparametric statistics with the Spearman rank formula because the research data is in the form of an ordinal scale. The results showed that there was a very weak relationship between professionalism and religious moderation in teachers with a correlation coefficient of 0.116. The relationship between variables is also not significant with the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.750 which is greater than 0.05. There is a unidirectional relationship between variables with the meaning that if teacher professionalism increases, religious moderation in teachers also increases, and vice versa if teacher professionalism decreases then teacher religious moderation also decreases
