Abstract

Penerapan pembelajaran inkuiri sebagai salah satu tuntutan kurikulum 13 telah dilaksanakan di MAN 2 Palu. Akan tetapi permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Biologi pokok Bahasan sel masih terjadi. Hal ini disebabkan karena model pembelajaran inkuiri belum sepenuhnya mampu dilakukan oleh para siswa. Oleh karena itu, pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing diperlukan untuk dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian mengenai pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing di kelas XI MIA 7 MAN 2 Palu pada pokok bahasan sel dilakukan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK), yang dilaksanakan dengan 3 siklus yang terdiri atas perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Data yang diambil adalah data kualitatif yaitu data hasil observasi yang diperoleh dari hasil pengamatan situasi pembelajaran. Selain itu, data kuantitatif juga diambil yaitu data mengenai hasil belajar yang diperoleh dari hasil dari tes. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa hasil belajar siswa berupa daya serap klasikal mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke II sebesar 8,88% dan siklus II ke III sebesar 10,93%, serta untuk ketuntasan belajar klasikal diperoleh peningkatan dari siklus I ke II sebesar 23,08% dan siklus II ke III sebesar 19,23%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode inkuiri terbimbing dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI MIA 7 MAN 2 Palu dalam pembelajaran pokok bahasan sel.

Abstract

IRF-2 is a member of the interferon regulatory transcription factor (IRF) which encodes interferon regulating factors. The study aimed to describe the character of the Interferon Regulatory Factor 2 (IRF-2) gene sequence from maleo and provide an experimental module about molecular genetic methods. This study used descriptive methods. Genetic data were obtained by using the molecular method through three stages of DNA isolation, DNA amplification, and sequencing. Alignment is done using Clustal X in the MEGA6 program. Phylogeny tree constructed by Neighbor-Joining algorithm and Juke-Cantor evolution's model from program MEGA6. The sample consisted of 0,3 ml blood from two individual maleo and species of Megapode group as a comparison that was obtained from GenBank. The results of the analysis from 612 bp of IRF-2 genes identified with the composition of the nucleotide base of 23.1% T, 20.8% C, 35.1% A and 21.0% G. IRF-2 gene sequence of nucleotide composition was rich in adenine (A). Analysis of IRF-2 gene sequences phylogeny tree topology tree produced good enough and has aggregated species from Megapodiidae family. Moreover, the validation suggested that the practical guide book in this study were ‘eligible’ to be used as learning media.

Abstract

The FGB gene is a gene that plays a role in synthesizing b-fibrinogen proteins and is often used as a molecular marker because it is useful for studying bird phylogenetics. The purpose of this study was to describe the character sequences of the FGB gene in Maleo birds (Macrocephalon maleo S. Muller 1864). This study uses laboratory exploratory methods. Alignment is done using the MEGA6 program (Clustal W). Phylogeny trees are constructed based on the Neighbor-Joining algorithm and the Juke-Cantor evolution model of the MEGA6 program. The sample in this study was 0.3 ml of blood from Maleo birds and members of the Megapodiidae group species used as a comparison. The results of this study indicate the length of the FGB 576 bp sequence and was identified with a base composition of 32.2% A, 30.4% T, 17.0% C and 20.3% G. Nucleotide composition of the sequence of Adenine-rich FGB genes. Analysis of the FGB gene sequence phylogeny tree produced a tree topology that was quite good and had the power to split at the interspecies level and place the maleo bird in its own line compared to other Megapoda genera.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Jantung pisang biasa diolah dalam bentuk abon, namun nilai gizinya masih rendah khususnya lemak. Oleh karena itu maka abon tersebut perlu ditambhakan ikan sidat yang diketahui memiliki cukup kadar lemak.Tujuan: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk menentukan kadar lemak pada abon dari campuran jantung pisang (Musa paradisiaca) dengan ikan sidat (Anguilla marmorata).Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen yang terdiri atas 5 perlakuan yaitu abon dengan; komposisi 100 gram jantung pisang (P0), komposisi 75 gram jantung pisang dan 25 gram ikan sidat (P1), komposisi 50 gram jantung pisang dan 50 gram ikan sidat (P2), komposisi 25 gram jantung pisang dan 75 gram ikan sidat (P3) dan komposisi 100 gram ikan sidat (P4). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang 3 kali. Kemudian, abon dianalisis mengenai kandungan lemaknya dengan menggunakan metode soxhlet.Hasil: Nilai rata-rata kandungan lemak yang diperoleh pada abon campuran jantung pisang dan ikan sidat adalah P0 (=15,59%) P1 (=17,57%), P2 (=23,12%), P3 (=26,42%) dan P4 (27,23%).Simpulan: Ikan sidat menambah nilai kadar lemak pada abon namun kadar lemaknya masih dibawah standar yang ditentukan oleh Standar Industri Indonesia sehingga abon ini layak dikonsumsi.

Abstract

Parenting patterns have an influence on learning outcomes. However, how much the influence and relationship level between the parenting of the parents with the student learning outcomes in Tolasty Swastyastu Middle School have not been studied. Therefore, the goals of the study is to determine the level of relationship between parenting parents with student learning outcomes and to determine the influence of parenting parents on student learning outcomes in Tolasty Swastyastu SMP. The study used a correlation method that connects the independent variable (X), parenting pattern, and dependent variable (Y), learning outcomes. The study collected 91 students from class VII A and B and class VIII A and B. Instrument of the study used a closed questionnaire consisting of 20 questions for parenting variables. An average value of even semester report was used for the student learning outcomes variable. Data was analysed with product moment correlation index. Result of the study obtained rxy = 0.825, indicating that the level of relationship between variables X (Parenting Parents) and Y (Student Learning Outcomes) is very strong. Moreover, the correlation was positively linier. Thus, it can be conluded that parenting patterns affect student learning outcomes (=68.1%).

Abstract

Rice washing water waste is the result of community waste which in general is no longer used, even though the waste can still be processed and used, one of which is as fertilizer for plants. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of the use of rice washing water waste on increasing the growth of celery (Apium graveolens L.) with a hydroponic planting system. The research location is in the Laboratory and Green House of the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, Tadulako University. The study was carried out experimentally with a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 types of treatment and was repeated 4 times. The treatments consisted of: K0 (control) = 0% without giving rice washing water; K1 = 25% of rice washing water waste; K2= 50% of rice washing water waste; and K3 = 75% rice washing water waste. The data obtained were then analyzed using the ANOVA test and a further BNT test was carried out which was processed using the SPSS 25 program. The results showed that the height of celery plants at the age of 10 DAP (Days After Planting), 20 DAP, and 30 DAP, was significantly affected by the treatment. rice washing water waste, although the concentrations were not significantly different between treatments. These results indicate that rice washing water has a significant effect on increasing the growth of celery plants.

Abstract

Buah tomat memiliki kandungan vitamin C yang cukup tinggi, namun kandungannya bergantung kepada waktu perkembangannya. Dengan demikian tingkat kematangan dari buah menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi kandungan vitamin C. Bagaimana tingkat perkembangan mempengaruhi kandungan vitamin C belum ada studi-studi yang dilakukan. Oleh karena itu, studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kandungan vitamin C dari buah tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum) pada tingkat kematangan yang berbeda yakni buah mentah, mengkal dan matang. Studi dilakukan dengan melakukan pengukuran nilai serapan dari masing-masing sampel ekstrak buah tomat dengan menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kandungan vitamin C dari buah tomat mentah sebesar 217,31 mg, buah tomat mengkal sebanyak 257,31 mg dan buah tomat matang sebanyak 238,17 mg dalam 100 g buah tomat. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa buah tomat mengkal memiliki kandungan vitamin C tertinggi dibandingkan dengan buah tomat mentah dan matang.

Abstract

Fart leaf plants (Paederia foetida) or Sembukan contain Alkaloids, flavonoids and Iridoid glycosides. The plants have various functions that are as antihepatotoxic, hypoglycemic, antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antitumor, antiviral, antidiarrheal, immunomodulatory, anti-rheumatic, anti-inflammatory. pain and seizure relief. Besides being used as herbal medicine, medicinal plants can also be used as complementary food ingredients because they are thought to contain nutrients such as carbohydrates and fiber. This study aims to determine the content of carbohydrates and fiber in sembukan. The carbohydrate content of sembukan leaves was analyzed using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer. The results showed that sembukan leaves contain carbohydrates including glucose 0.986 mg, fructose 0.99 mg, sucrose 1.710 mg, starch and fiber 7,03 grams per 100 grams of sembukan leaves

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the improvement of the ability of Biology Subject Teachers' Deliberation teachers through training in the technique of examining answer sheets on android-based multiple choice questions. The research subjects were 16 people. The method used is descriptive research. Data were analyzed descriptively. The activity was carried out by presenting the material, then installing the application program, the practice of using smartphones and their applications on the student answer sheets being tested, reading and interpreting the analysis results from the examination of the application program, reporting the examination results and sending the examination results from the application program. This activity is planned to be carried out programmatically with a training model that integrates theory and practice. The results of the research on increasing the ability of Biology Subject Teachers' Deliberations through training in the technique of examining answer sheets on android-based multiple choice questions in the criteria of being able to be 63% based on the aspects measured.

Abstract

Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) made from the roots of bamboo, mung bean, and putri embarrassment has not yet been applied to mung bean plants, specifically to determine its effect on the number, diameter, and quality of mung bean root nodules. Therefore, this study aims to explain the effect of PGPR fertilizer from the roots of bamboo, mung bean, and putri embarrassment on the number, diameter, and quality of nodules on mung bean (Vigna radiata L.) root nodules. The study was carried out by experiment, using a completely randomized design (CRD), which consisted of 4 treatments, namely: P0 (control) = without PGPR fertilizer; P1 = bamboo root PGPR fertilizer; P2 = green bean root PGPR fertilizer; and P3 = PGPR root shame daughter fertilizer. Each treatment was repeated 6 times. The data obtained was analyzed using the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) which was processed using the XLSTAT 2020 program. The results showed that the PGPR fertilizer treatment from bamboo roots, mung bean roots, and embarrassed daughter roots was significantly different from the control or without PGPR. Among the three types of PGPR tested, it turned out that the PGPR from the roots of putri embarrassment had the most significant effect on the number of nodules (60.67); nodule diameter (1.91 mm); and absorbance (1.88). From these results, it is recommended that PGPR from the root of the embarrassed daughter be able to significantly increase the quantity and quality of mung bean root nodules.
