Abstract

Students' limited understanding of classroom lessons or materials can hinder their English language development. Additionally, in Indonesia, students rarely have opportunities to practice English, and teachers often do not use effective methods or real-life resources for teaching listening. However, with recent technological advancements, English is increasingly becoming the second language of choice, as it is widely used in all technology-related fields. This research purposed to reveal the students’ perception to use podcasts in the classroom. A descriptive quantitative approach was used and a questionnaire was administered to thirty students of SMAN 2 Binjai participating in the questionnaire in order to fully investigate their points of view. The research result revealed that students' perspectives regarding the accessibility and novelty of podcasts. The majority (90%) expressed agreement with the implementation of podcasts at class. Similarly, 86.67% agreed with the ease of using podcasts anytime and anywhere. The use of podcasts demonstrated a positive impact on students' listening skills. These findings underscored the students’ perception in utilizing podcasts effectively. Students believed that podcasts could improve their listening and speaking skills. Students expressed that using podcasts was enjoyable because it allowed them to enhance their skills while also learning about topics that interested them. However, challenges in effectively using podcasts in the classroom emerged, highlighting the need for further exploration of optimal implementation strategies.

Abstract

Pada era revolusi industri 4.0 manusia dituntut mampu menjawab tantangan zaman dengan kesiapan kompetensi kerja. Hal ini sejalan dengan arah pendidikan vokasi dimana lulusan dipersiapkan untuk mampu memenuhi permintaan dunia industri. Sehingga dibutuhkan evaluasi secara sistematis terhadap lulusan vokasi dalam hal ini difokuskan kepada lulusan dengan kompetensi bidang IT agar mereka sepenuhnya siap untuk terjun ke dunia kerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengkaji literatur secara mendalam apakah evaluasi kompetensi lulusan vokasi bidang IT mampu memberikan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap lulusan vokasi bidang IT untuk memenuhi standar kompetensi kerja industri. Evaluasi difokuskan pada beberapa metode pada bidang ilmu sistem pendukung keputusan. Untuk mengukur dan menganalisa kompetensi yang mereka miliki terhadap standar kebutuhan kompetensi kerja industri yang bergerak pada bidang IT. Kata Kunci : Evaluasi, Lulusan Vokasi Bidang IT, Sistem Pendukung Keputusan

Abstract

Dalam melakukan pembelajaran seorang Pendidik harus mampu dalam menguasai materi dan kelas. Penggunaan media menjadi salah satu alat dalam pembelajaran. Sampai pada saat ini, media pembelajaran sudah menjadi bagian penting dalam menghasilkan pembelajaran yang efektif, efisien dan praktis. Didalam media pembelajaran yang baik, diharuskan terdapat learning, testing, dan evaluation. Game atau permainan, dapat diubah menjadi media pembelajaran, dan umumnya disebut dengan game edukasi. Penggunaan game edukasi akan digabungkan dengan metode drag and drop. Metode ini digunakan untuk menghasilkan interaksi antara pengguna dan media atau game. Sehingga dengan adanya penerapan metode drag and drop pada game edukasi, akan menghasilkan media yang baik untuk sebuah pembelajaran. Kata Kunci— Aplikasi, Drag and Drop, Edukasi, Game, Macromedia Flash.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based Information System for Approval Dismentling NTE using the RAD (Rapid Application Development) method at PT Telkom Akses. The system design process is carried out using DFD (Data Flow Diagram) to determine the necessary design steps. The system development involves programming languages such as PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS, along with a SQL database for data storage. The RAD method is utilized in the design phase, which consists of three main steps: planning, design, and implementation. The research findings indicate that the web-based Information System for Approval Dismentling NTE has no significant impact on the performance of asset monitoring at PT Telkom Akses. Despite PT Telkom Akses having its own Approval system application, there are still several shortcomings, including an unattractive interface. This study contributes to the development of a web-based Information System for Approval Dismentling NTE using the RAD method. The implementation of this system is expected to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the NTE dismentling approval process at PT.Telkom Akses. Improvements that can be made to the system include refining the interface to make it more appealing and addressing other existing deficiencies.

Abstract

E-Bisnis merupakan transaksi atau kegiatan bisnis maupun usaha yang dilakukan secara otomatis dengan memanfaatkan jaringan komputer dan tekologi internet. .Transaksi bisnis mencakup banyak bidang yang dapat dilakukan seperti transfer finansial, pembelian dan penjualan barang, promosi dan pengiriman informasi tentnag perjanjian kerja sama bisnis. Mata kuliah E-Bisnis merupakan mata kuliah wajib yang di pelajari oleh mahasiswa STMIK Royal khususnya mahasiswa semester 7. Dengan adanya mata kuliah e bisnis ini mahasiswa dapat mengetahui bagaimana menjalankan usaha maupun bisnis dengan baik pada era digital saat ini. Untuk melihat sejauh mana tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa yang tergolong beragam terhadap mata kuliah E-bisnis tersebut, maka diperlukan clustering atau pengelompokan berdasarkan tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa dalam memahami mata kuliah tersebut yang mana dengan adanya clustering ini dapat membantu mengukur tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah E-Bisnis. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik data mining dengan metode K-Means Clustering untuk mengetahui persebaran tingkat pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap mata kuliah E-Bisnis. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat sejauh mana tingkat keberhasilan mata kuliah E-Bisnis yang dicanangkan lewat hasil pembelajaran satu semester dan menjadikan hasil clustering tersebut sebagai tolak ukur untuk mengembangkan mata kuliah tersebut dan menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi mahasiswa yang tidak memahami mata kuliah tersebut.

Abstract

This study develops a web-based guidance and counseling system for high school students, focusing on enhancing previously existing features. One of the key features added is a chat function, which enables direct interaction between students and counselors to improve the effectiveness of guidance and consultation. Additionally, the system includes a student violation tracking feature, aimed at more effectively monitoring and addressing infractions. The research results indicate that this system can enhance the quality of guidance and counseling services in high schools by facilitating better communication and providing optimal support in handling violations. It is hoped that this study can contribute to the development of more effective guidance and counseling support systems within educational environments

Abstract

The national exam is a national standard evaluation system for primary and secondary education. The national exam itself influences students in how they study to face the national exam. Every student faces their own exam differently, there are students who take it seriously and there are those who take it relaxed. Researchers here designed a system for predicting student readiness in facing desktop-based national exams, which uses data mining techniques with the Naïve Bayes method. The naïve Bayes method is applied to find the greatest probability of predetermined variables including TKJ, Mathematics, Indonesian and English scores to find out whether you are ready or not ready to face the national exam. The result of this research is a system that helps school admins find out students' readiness to face national exams. So that it can be taken into consideration by the school to increase students' interest in learning.

Abstract

This community service aims to explore the role of digital education and simulation tools in enhancing cybersecurity awareness among teenagers. The review examines various educational methods, including e-learning platforms, gamification, and phishing simulations, to evaluate their effectiveness in increasing cybersecurity knowledge and skills. The methodology involves analyzing relevant studies from academic databases, combining both qualitative and quantitative research. Key findings suggest that interactive digital education and simulations significantly improve teenagers' ability to recognize and address online threats. However, challenges remain regarding long-term retention and engagement. The review highlights the growing importance of these tools in educating teenagers, emphasizing the need for their integration into educational settings. Trends include the use of gamification and simulations, while gaps in research, such as long-term effectiveness and cultural influences, remain. Recommendations for future initiatives include AI-driven simulations and incorporating cybersecurity education into social media platforms for broader reach.

Abstract

This research aims to design the user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) for a website providing progressive tax payment and vehicle blocking services using the IDEO method. The IDEO method consists of 3 main stages: Inspiration, Ideation, and Implementation. In the Inspiration stage, observations and interviews were conducted to identify user problems and needs related to these services. The Ideation stage involved brainstorming and creating sketches/wireframes to generate appropriate UI/UX design concepts. The results show that the developed website UI/UX design was able to improve the ease of use, efficiency, and user satisfaction in accessing the services. Key features implemented include an intuitive dashboard, a simple and transparent progressive tax payment flow, a digital assistant feature, integration with digital payment systems, and a responsive design. Testing using the System Usability Scale (SUS) resulted in a score of 74.736, indicating that this website UI/UX design is in the "acceptable" category the design is quite good and acceptable to users.

Abstract

Abstract: The advancement of digital technology has influenced the way parents raise their children, especially amid the widespread use of gadgets today. From an early age, children are becoming accustomed to using digital devices, and without adequate supervision, this can negatively impact their development. This community service activity was designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of housewives in Kelambir V Village in applying a digital parenting approach, particularly in supervising their children's use of gadgets. The activities were carried out through counseling sessions, focused group discussions (FGD), and supervision simulations based on case studies. The training successfully improved the mothers' understanding of the impacts of gadget use, while also fostering their commitment to establishing rules for digital device usage within the family environment. This initiative also supports the creation of a healthy technology use culture at home and strengthens the role of mothers as primary caregivers in today’s digital era. It is hoped that this training can serve as a model of community-based family empowerment practices in rural areas. Keyword: digital parenting; gadgets; digital literacy; housewives Abstrak: Kemajuan teknologi digital telah memengaruhi cara orang tua membesarkan anak, terutama di tengah maraknya penggunaan gadget saat ini. Sejak usia dini, anak-anak mulai terbiasa menggunakan perangkat digital, dan tanpa pengawasan yang memadai, hal ini dapat berdampak buruk pada perkembangan mereka. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan wawasan dan keterampilan ibu rumah tangga di Desa Kelambir V dalam menerapkan pendekatan digital parenting, khususnya terkait pengawasan penggunaan gadget pada anak. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui penyuluhan, diskusi kelompok terarah (FGD), dan simulasi pengawasan berbasis studi kasus. Pelatihan tersebut berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman para ibu mengenai dampak penggunaan gadget, sekaligus menumbuhkan komitmen mereka untuk menerapkan aturan penggunaan perangkat digital dalam lingkungan keluarga Kegiatan ini turut mendukung terciptanya budaya penggunaan teknologi yang sehat di rumah, sekaligus memperkuat peran ibu sebagai pengasuh utama di zaman era digital sekarang. Pelatihan ini diharapkan menjadi contoh praktik pemberdayaan keluarga berbasis komunitas di daerah pedesaan. Kata kunci: digital parenting; gadget; literasi digital; ibu rumah tangga
