The MBAs
• M2 MBA 15"
• M3 MBA 15"
• M4 MBA 13" (brand new this week)

All three are running Tahoe and have the latest printer drivers installed

The printer
• Epson L360 Series (USB inkjet)

The M2 and M3 MBAs can print to the Epson printer.
The M4 MBA cannot print to the Epson printer.

All three MBAs can print to Canon and Brother Wireless printers

The M4 seems to start to print to the Epson, but gets stuck forever on "Sending data to printer"

What we've tried:

• Reset the printing system
• Remove and reinstall the printer
• Reboot the M4
• Turn off and unplug the printer, wait a bit, start up again

Nothing has worked. Any ideas?

Tough one. Did you try the other USB port on the M4?
Yes, I did. The Epson printer shows up as a USB 3.1 device in system info.

Just spent two tedious hours with Apple Support mostly doing troubleshooting steps that I'd already done. After two hours I had to go at which time I was told to reinstall Tahoe and get back to them if it didn't help.

I have two printers here - an Epson R1800 that I haven’t used for years, and a Brother MFC. The Epson is USB (no network), the Brother is WiFI. Both work on my Mac Studio. I was surprised the Epson did. It’s currently sitting on the other side of the room, and I have chained USB leads to connect to it when I want to use it. It still works (although I’ve not tried the Epson since upgrading to Tahoe - maybe I should). Crazy stuff.

Sorry I can’t help with your printer situation. The only thing I’d think is trying a new USB cable. I know it worked on your older machines, but maybe there’s something different about the USB ports on the newer one. Just guessing.

So, after two hours on the phone with Apple and another hour reinstalling Tahoe, it still doesn't print. And, with all that I forgot to put my bread in the oven. Not a great day.

We actually tried several cables. Originally, with the machines that worked, it was a USB Hub with USB C to A cables. I tried two of those cables but neither worked with the new machine. Then I found a brand new, never used USB A to B cable. That didn't work either. So, it's not the cables.
