Zaur Kortoshidze (Georgian: ზაურ ქორთოშიძე; born 22 March 1961, Napareuli) is a Georgian aviator and businessman. He is known for his contributions to the Georgian aviation industry and for his association with Airline Tusheti and the cargo airline Geo Sky.

Career

Kortoshidze is listed as a principal of **Airline Tusheti Ltd.** in business directories.[1] He also appears on LinkedIn under profiles for pilots working with TCA (Georgia) and Airline Tusheti.[2][3]

Kortoshidze and his family are connected with **Geo Sky Airlines**, a Georgian cargo carrier based in Tbilisi. Tornike Kortoshidze is publicly noted as President of Geo Sky.[4] Geo Sky has expanded operations and fleet capacity in recent years:

  • Acquired its first Boeing 757 freighter in 2022.[5]
  • Leased a Boeing 767-300 BCF in 2025.[6]

He is reported to have four children – Erekle, Lili, Tornike, and Tako Kortoshidze – some of whom are involved in aviation businesses.[11] He is also said to have served as a pilot for Georgian presidents Zviad Gamsakhurdia, Eduard Shevardnadze, and Mikheil Saakashvili, and to have participated in aviation operations during the Abkhazia conflict [citation needed]. Kortoshidze reportedly assisted firefighting efforts during the 2017 Borjomi forest fires using his private helicopters, without compensation [citation needed].

Legacy and relevance

Geo Sky, the airline with which he is associated, is considered one of the most active Georgian cargo carriers in the region.[12] Its fleet growth and international routes have been widely covered in industry publications such as *Air Cargo News* and *CH-Aviation*.[13]
