So we are deploying a new Windows machine that will be used with our Roland Vinyl printer. After the software needed is installed, any user can open the VersaWorks application, and it will connect to the printer over USB. When we go to load a test print, the application will crash. If we open the application with Administrative privileges, it will work without any issues. The old device that was used was not domain joined, but the new one is. Has anyone dealt with a similar experience where an application needs full administrative rights to fully work? I do not want to give the user who will be using the printer and computer administrative rights. I’d prefer to only have it applied to this one application.
