Does this happen with different browsers?

if not, uninstall edge, and re-install it.

or just use the alternate browser, for now, until a better answer presents itself.

If Edge is running on the latest version, use the settings menu to reset it to defaults, then run a GPO forced update command (assuming this is on a domain) to resync all policies relating to browser controls. If Edge is NOT running the latest version, update it first then do the reset.

Edge is malware. IMO

MSN popping up is usually because Edge’s start page or new tab is set to MSN. To fix it:

Open Edge → Settings → Start, home, and new tabs.

Under When Edge starts, select Open a specific page or pages → remove MSN or set your preferred page.

Under New tab page, you can customize it or set it to a blank page.

This stops MSN from automatically appearing.
