12th gen: How do I update from BIOS 3.04 with Linux?

I am updating a very outdated Framework 12th gen laptop. The BIOS is on 3.04, and following the EFI update guide, I’m unable to update to 3.19. I keep getting an error 331.

Any idea how I can update from 3.04 to the latest?

Maybe try the following?

I’ve been trying to update the bios of my framework 13 and I’m getting the following message when I try to apply the update [IMG_2239] I’m not sure, but is it possible that the bios link is incorrect? I can’t seem to find any old links for bios before 3.20. I’m currently on 3.17 [image] So the only thing I can think of for why this would be giving me this error would be if the wrong bios was listed as 3.20 for Linux. SOLUTION OK, I found the issues. Here’s what I did in hopes it will help others. This information is based on a 13" 12th gen with BIOS 3.04 attempting to upgrade to 3.17. I’m running Bazzite Linux but the OS won’t really matter for this because this is using the EFI boot method. If you haven’t read this page, pause here and go read it.
