I work with a few dozen docs of varying sizes, and as of this morning they appear to be affected by some kind of partial Coda outage across the board. All of the affected tables are a sync table of a sync table.
Example:
- Base table in Doc A with rows that represent time zones
- Sync table in Doc B that adds some columns
- Sync table in Doc C that makes use of the time zone data + the data grafted on in Doc B
Today, two things have occurred:
- Some of the columns that are grafted on to a sync (like the Doc B ones in the example) have become empty. In some cases critical data has been lost.
- Row references to the affected tables are now broken. In the example: a table in Doc C with a relation column to time zones now shows that the row references stored in that column are not synced into the doc. However, those rows are still very much present in the doc.
In some but not all cases, refreshing the table several times has fixed it.
I’m reaching out to Coda support separately, but it’d be helpful to know if this outage is only within our company or if it’s a larger issue with Coda today! Are your docs experiencing any issues like this too?
