Tajikistan, a Central Asian country with a population of over 10 million, is the smallest economy in the region in terms of gross domestic product (GDP), which was measured at 13 billion U.S. dollars in 2024. The sector occupying the largest portion of Tajikistan's GDP is agriculture, with 24.3 percent in 2023, followed by services and industry. Some of the key commodities produced in the country include cotton, aluminum, gold, and mercury. In 2024, Tajikistan's mine production of antimony reached 17,000 metric tons, ranking second worldwide after China.
