Car sharing in Italy - Statistics & Facts
In 2022, nearly half of all shared cars in Italy were electric and among station-based vehicles alone this share was even higher in 2023, at 60 percent. Meanwhile, the electrification rate of Italy’s overall fleet, including hybrids, stood at only 4.3 percent in 2022. Not even the European leader for fleet electrification, Norway, could keep up with Italy’s shared fleet, with around a third of its fleet being electric or hybrid electric.
