Greenhouse gas emissions worldwide

Global greenhouse gas emissions have reached record highs in recent years despite climate pledges. Carbon dioxide emissions from polluting sectors such as power and transportations continue to rise, while emissions of methane and nitrous oxide, both of which have far greater global warming potentials than carbon dioxide, are also increasing rapidly. This report presents statistics about global greenhouse gas emissions on a global, country, regional, and sectoral basis. It also provides data on historical emissions dating to the beginning of the industrial revolution, as well as projections for the coming decades.
