How SAP uses Figma as a global collaboration platform

SAP is a global leader in business application software with over 100,000 employees, including around 1,000 designers.

Before adopting Figma, SAP designers relied on multiple tools to handle various aspects of conceptualisation, UX work, and collaboration. This fragmented approach led to inefficiencies, misalignment, and challenges in maintaining consistency across products and teams.

However, Sophia Levens, head of SAP Design System, tells us that by implementing Figma, SAP transformed its design process, consolidating workflows into a single, cohesive platform. Figma enabled seamless collaboration across global teams, allowing designers to brainstorm, share feedback, and co-create in real-time.
