A Study of Agile Software Development.

Now a days most of the software companies are able to produce valuable software in a very short span of time with minimum costs and with adjustable environments. For this purpose Agile Methodologies were thus introduced to meet all the requirements of a software development company. In this paper we will discuss the agile technique and SCRUM there advantages and disadvantages. Also we discuss about the dissimilarities and similarities between the new requirements of the software development companies.

In Today's challenging environment it is very much dynamic and organizations are rapidly changing their software requirements to adjust with present environment. Therefore they also need quick delivery of software products as well as for change in the requirements. In case of agile software development approaches, there has been a spectacular importance in the field of software development in recent few years. As a result of the fastness in agile approaches it brings rapid delivery of the final outcome for the life cycle of software development. With respect to the change in numerous areas that have been overblown, there is a need to realize that the components of the agile methodologies are different from the traditional one. In this paper, we have tried to describe the importance of agile software development methodologies and how the agile process can result in increasing the efficiency of the tasks.

Software development methodology consists of dividing the software development process or work into different phases in order to achieve better planning and management. As the software development proceeds, factors such as requirements, needs, priorities, underlying technology may change. Thus development process must be highly dynamic and a good software development methodology must adapt to these evolving and changing requirements. Traditional software development models are unable to handle such dynamic requirements. To cope up with such dynamic requirements a set of software development methodologies referred as " Agile Software development methodologies " are used. Comparison between different Agile software development methods will help in the selection of appropriate development model given a particular scenario.

During the past years, new software development approaches were introduced to suit within the new trend of the software development corporations. Most Software Corporation‟s today aim to provide valuable software in short period of time with marginal prices and among unstable, ever-changing environments. Agile methodology focuses on the challenges of unpredictability of the real world by relying on individuals and their creative thinking instead of method. In this paper we tend to explore about the current agile methods, strengths and weaknesses of agile strategies and numerous problems with their relevancy. We have conjointly enclosed comparison between traditional software development process and agile software development process. This paper also includes brief discussion about the benefits and problems associated with these methodologies by performing case study of two corporations.

This paper is a review research about the features of the agile and heavy (traditional) software development methodologies and comparisons between them based on: Investment and Team Size. The important difference between agile and heavy methodologies is the adaptability for project changes. In agile methodologies changes do easily but heavy methodologies are static and do not adapt with changes. Also in this paper there are the usage of each groups of methodologies and how can work two groups together. In addition, some types of heavy and agile methodologies have been described.

Agile software development or agility is a sound concept of today's scenario which comprises the methods like scrum, Kanban, pair programming, extreme programming etc...Agile methods work with collaboration, competence, predictive planning and achievement and so that they let a project to be completed in its optimum state i.e. within time and cost and with producing best results. Agile methods are not bound to apply only in field of software development but they can be used in each and every field for getting best results in least efforts. This paper is an attempt to provide a study on agile methods as well as the chances to use them in other fields of engineering.

Loyal and steady customer base alone can keep the organizations successful in the current turbulent business environment. In the current era of software engineering, the success of a business process is measured in terms of 'customer satisfaction' rather than any other criteria like meeting deadlines for delivery, optimization of data, architecture etc. Day by day, customers are turning out to be more demanding, as their expectations from the software are growing. In order to achieve customer satisfaction in a meaningful way, software engineers are looking for more effective development models. "Agile" is one such model, that fits the bill and therefore industry is looking at with interest .Is agile better than traditional waterfall model will agile work effectively with distributed teams which is most common in the current software engineering Phenomenon. This paper highlights a few challenges with Agile->scrum and gives an insight to the user whether the agile is THE SILVER BULLET .

This research paper discusses the software development through agile approaches. In which we see that most of the time, agile approaches cannot use for all type of projects. But this paper is exploring the new ideas that how we can use the agile methodologies with the help of traditional approach and PSP/TSP/Software CMMI. So, the over all paper is giving the whole idea, that we can develop any type of software projects through the new agile methodology guidelines which we are describing here. As well as for solving this paper we adopted different ways in which we focused on literature study & also published research paper on agile methodology. In addition, we did this work on the base of hybrid ideology where we combined the best ways of different approaches and achieved our goals.. Where we proved that by the combination of these approaches, we can manage our projects as well as team personals in the organization successfully. And this concept for team management comes from PSP/TSP and Software CMMI. The benefit for management of this is also to get our projects with agility and personnel's training for project management.

In today's world business is very much dynamic in nature and organisation are changing their requirements very quickly and for that there is a tremendous importance of agile methods in software development , because of its nature of being fast as compare to traditional method it is used very rapidly in software development process. Though traditional methods like waterfall, object oriented approaches have dominated past decades but Agile software development brings its own set of novel challenges that must be addressed to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of the valuable software .The paper carries the distinct objectives to define current agile method understanding different agile methods, the uses of agile and drawbacks. To meet the set goals and objectives, we used qualitative and research methodologies. Apart from taking references and review, we performed research from a software firm named Incubation Centre which is in Indore.
