How do I register my account for Internet banking?
Internet banking is available to our Personal, Business and Offshore customers. You’ll first need to complete one of our online registration forms:

Registration is completely secure and will only take a few minutes to complete.
How do I get a new copy of my User ID?
Go to the Internet banking log on screen, select “Forgotten User ID” and follow the on screen instructions. We’ll then post your User ID to you.
I’ve forgotten my Password and/or Memorable Information
Go to the Internet banking log on screen and enter your User ID and Password as normal. On the next screen, click on the 'Forgotten Memorable Information' link and follow the on-screen instructions.

How can I open an account from overseas?

How do I send money abroad?
If you want to send money abroad please contact your local contact your local branch or view further information on International payment services.
How can I obtain my IBAN and BIC?
For details of your BIC/IBAN you'll need to visit your account holding branch. Alternatively, if you’re registered for PhoneBank® * call us on 0845 3000 000†. Or you can call our International Services centre on +44 121 695 6952 or fax +44 121 625 6292.
How do I cancel a Direct Debit?
If you are registered for Internet banking, you can cancel some Direct Debits online. Just go to Internet Banking: log on and select the 'Direct Debits' option from the drop down box to the right of the account that the Direct Debit is set up on, then click on the Direct Debit that you wish to cancel. You'll have to re-enter your password to confirm that you wish to cancel the arrangement once you have checked the details.
If it is not possible to cancel a Direct Debit via Internet banking, the system will advise you accordingly. If you are registered for Phonbank*, call us on 0845 3000 000 †. If you are not registered for Phonebank* or Internet banking, please contact the company you are making the payment to (the beneficiary) as well as your branch.

How do I apply for an Internet Saver account?
To open an eSavings Account account you need to be registered for Internet banking or PhoneBank.
If you're already registered for internet banking, simply log on and then select the 'Savings' option on the left-hand menu.
If you're registered for PhoneBank®, you can open an Online Saver over the phone by calling them on 0845 3 000 000† 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Once your account has been opened, you can manage it through Internet banking or PhoneBank if you're registered. You can find out how to Register for Internet Banking on our website.
