Here Comes Santa Claus! Watch it on the Web!
If your kids are driving you crazy looking out the window for Santa Claus, plunk 'em in front of the computer. There are plenty of places they can keep an eye out for Santa online.
NORAD enters its 50th year of tracking Santa's sleigh ride online. You can too at http://www.noradsanta.org/en/map/index.php; that's the URL for their latest sightings. You can also download spotting videos from NORAD Santa home page at http://www.noradsanta.org/en/default.php. If NORAD's Web site is a bit much for your computer (it requires Flash) check out MSNBC's text updates of Santa's progress at http://msnbc.msn.com/id/10482133/.
NASA has a basic Santa tracker at http://liftoff.msfc.nasa.gov/home/seasonal/SantaTrack.html. For it you'll need Java. It's not as interactive as NORADs, but the little comments down at the bottom of the applet are cute.
Hey, if NASA, why not an airport? The DFW airport's Santa Tracker starts at noon central, at http://www.dfwairport.com/santatracker/. You'll be able to read reports of Santa's progress, play games, and see video of Santa's arrival last year.
Claus.com has updates on a bunch of Santa math, including the number of houses visited, glasses of milk drunk, and how fast the sleigh is going. Santa is also providing brief updates on flight conditions as he makes his journey. Keep up with him at http://www.claus.com/spotter/track_02.php.
Y'all have a merry one!
