Test Data Set for ECDIS

Sample ENC data sets.

This area contains a number of example ENCs produced by various national hydrographic offices. The data are made available to assist encoders gain experience with ENC production. Please note that these are provide for familiarization purposes only. They do NOT constitute part of the ENC Test Data Set referred to in IEC 61174. The IHB cannot guarantee that the encoding of these ENCs agrees exactly with that used for the Test Data Set, and accepts no responsibility or liability for possible differences.

Description

Australia. The Royal Australian Navy Hydrographic Service has produced a set of "data rich" ENC cells with 1m contour intervals, and full implementation of Zones of Confidence (ZOC) and SCAMIN.

NOAA (Office of Coast Survey) ENCs are official products used for navigation. They can also be used for testing, electronic navigation training, user familiarization, and evaluation of NOAA ENCs.
