What does The Tree do?The Tree is the unofficial mascot of Stanford University, and performs at athletic events and rallies with the Band. How do I become the Tree?The New Tree manifests itself during Tree Week, which is usually at the end of February each year. Criteria for selection include completion of a written application, an interview with the band management, a minimum height of nine feet, and an attitude that embodies the Stanford spirit.
