Hi, I'm Erica, Lena. And today I've got to walk you through how to set up the snowflake pack for Coda. Setting it up requires a bunch of different steps from different actors. So follow along with me and I'll show you how to do this process from start to finish.
All right. So let's pretend I'm a coded user and in my doc and I want to use the snowflake pack. I can click the insert menu. I search for snowflake. And there's the pack. Now, we'll see here that request access button. Even if you're not limiting what packs people can use because the snowflake pack requires some extra setup.
All users will see this button to start. So a user may request access saying I'd really like to use this pack.
And send a request. For the user. Now it's just wait to see how that request is handled.
All right. So now I'm the Coda admin, and I've got an email saying that someone would like to use this pack. Clicking the button will take you into the Coda UI. Where you can then review that request. If you're using pack approvals, you probably familiar with this screen, but if not, it may be a little new to you.
I can expand the details of their quest to see which user. May the request and what their justification is.
You can approve a snowflake pack and start setting it up by using the configure manually button here, or if it gives her hasn't requested it, you can actually just search for it in the box below. Find the snowflake pack. And expand it to start the configuration process. Now, what you see here is that snowflake does have special requirements compared to other packs. And this learn more link.
It takes you to our help center, where you can get the specific set of steps required to set it up. And we're going to be using this throughout the process.
As this article details in order to set up the pack, you need your snowflake admin to create some settings on their side before you can finish the setup and Coda. So send this article over to your snowflake admin so they can take care of their tests first.
All right now I'm a snowflake admin, and I got this article.
