Abstract

An inflatable ribbed sheet 1, for covering a person, is made up of an air impervious inner unit, with an outer cover made of cotton or similar fabric. The sheet is linked to an air supply unit 4 by a connecting tube 2. The air supply unit, which may be mains or battery powered, pumps hot or cold air into the blanket. The fan assisted sheet provides a steady supply of warm or cold air channelled though hollow pathways in the sheet and directed onto the user through small holes. The impervious layer may be of rubber or uPVC or uPVA material. The air supply unit may have a air density and/or timer control.
