Abstract

157,616. Marks, E. C. R., (Wilmort Manufacturing Co.). Nov. 24, 1919. Carpels weepers.-A crumb-sweeper comprises an arcuate casing 10 having double end walls 11, 12 and 13, 14 integral therewith and containing a specially-shaped removable brush 30 rotated through pinions 25, 26 by gearing on the supporting-wheels 17, 18, 19, 20. The casing is provided with lips 35, 36 continued into reinforcing-rims 35a on the inner walls and constituting collecting-troughs 38, and has a friction-tight cover 39. The brush is constructed in the usual manner of bristles gripped between twisted wires; the bristles are then trimmed off on opposite sides, as shown in Fig. 2, and the brush is further twisted so as to assume the form shown in Fig. 1.
