GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN REMAJA TENTANG PENCEGAHAN PENULARAN HIV/AIDS PADA KELAS XI DAN XII DI SMA SANTO ANTONIUS PADUA KABUPATEN JAYAPURA

Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) AIDS is a global and frightening disease problem because of its transmission, so that new cases have been found which started at a young age due to a lack of adolescent knowledge about HIV/AIDS. To find out the description of adolescent knowledge about preventing the transmission of HIV/Aids in class X and XI at SMA Santo Antonius Padua, Jayapura Regency. This type of research is descriptive quantitative. The population is class X-XI students with the number of samples obtained by means of a total sampling of 61 people. Data were obtained using a questionnaire and analyzed univariately. The description of adolescent knowledge about HIV/AIDS in SMA Santi Antonius Padua Jayapura Regency has good knowledge as many as 15 people (24.6%), sufficient knowledge as many as 40 people (65.6%) and lack of knowledge as many as 6 people (9, 8%). Most teenagers have sufficient knowledge about preventing HIV/AIDS transmission, including sexual intercourse, injecting drug use, blood transfusion and the risk of other transmission
