This brief communication describes an unusual presentation of necrotising fasciitis in two immature Bull Terriers. Both animals were admitted with a history of minimal trauma yet rapidly progressive, localising, disproportionate pain. Streptococcus canis was cultured from sub-periosteal fluid-filled pockets surrounding the femur in both cases.
