The research deals with the study of the interpretation movement in one of the stages of its deve... more The research deals with the study of the interpretation movement in one of the stages of its development in Algeria which extends from the late Ottoman era to the period before the birth of the Algerian Association of Muslim Scholars. The research aims to identify the interpreters of that stage and their books in interpretation, and it also aims to derive the result of the features of the interpretation in that stage and their causes. The research concluded by mentioning a several of Algerian interpreters who were preoccupied with interpretation in Algeria at that time, whether they were preoccupied with written or oral interpretation. Highlighting their written books in interpretation. The research also concluded that the state of the interpretation movement at that time was weak and traditional and plagued by stagnation because of several reasons and factors that arose from different sides.

Al-Iklīl fī Ma’ānī al-Tanzīl by Misbah bin Zainil Mustafa is a Qur’anic exegesis that was born fr... more Al-Iklīl fī Ma’ānī al-Tanzīl by Misbah bin Zainil Mustafa is a Qur’anic exegesis that was born from the pesantren tradition and was written during the New Order era under the leadership of President Soeharto. Through his exegesis, Misbah criticized social, political, and religious issues in Indonesia. The issues he highlighted, including how he formed his criticism, and its political as well as scholarly ramifications, are the focus of this study. Using descriptive, historical and explanatory methods, this article presents interesting and important findings. First, Misbah was an Indonesian ulama who started to publicly criticize the New Order regime’s policies and Muslims’ behaviors who were deemed inconsistent with Islamic values. In the midst of a hegemonic and repressive political system, Misbah’s attitude was a high risk and faced with political pressure from the New Order regime. In fact, as the oldest Islamic educational institution in Indonesia, pesantren has a dynamic and complex history and tradition of Qur'anic interpretation literacy. This article examines one side of the tradition of Qur'anic interpretation in pesantren through Tafsir Surah Yasinby Kyai Bisri Mustafa. This book of tafsir was selected; in addition to representing the tradition of interpretation in pesantren, science is used to explain the messages of the Qur'an in it. Both of these aspects were studied through Popongan manuscripts kept at Popongan Pesantren, Klaten, Central Java. The Popongan manuscript was derived from the study notes and a copy of the text referenced in the study at the pesantren. A large number of manuscripts were written and copied by Kyai Muhammad Muqri, one of the kyai at Popongan Pesantren. Through this study, Popongan manuscripts were positioned as social and cultural products, so that interactions, social relationships, and interests in them can be properly expressed. The research showed that the fields of knowledge studied in pesantren were diverse, including fiqh, grammar, theology, Sufism, and history. Religiously integrated interventions for treating mental illnesses have proved effective. However... more Religiously integrated interventions for treating mental illnesses have proved effective. However, many studies have yet to adequately address the effects of Islamic religious-based rituals on mental health among Muslims. The present study investigated the impact of a purposefully designed Islamic religion-based intervention on reducing depression and anxiety disorders among Muslim patients using a randomised controlled trial design. A total of 62 Muslim patients (30 women and 32 men) were divided by gender into two groups, with each group assigned randomly to either treatment or control groups. The participants who received the Islamicbased intervention were compared to participants who received the control intervention. Taylor's (cite date) manifest anxiety scale and Steer and Beck's (cite the date) depression scale were used to examine the effects on depression and anxiety levels. ANCOVA results revealed that the Islamic intervention significantly reduced anxiety levels in women (d = 0.75) and depression levels in men (d = 0.80) compared to the typical care control groups.

Autistik atau autism dikenali sebagai Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) atau dalam bahasa Melayu seb... more Autistik atau autism dikenali sebagai Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) atau dalam bahasa Melayu sebagai Kecelaruan Spektrum Autisme. Ia merujuk kepada maksud melarikan diri daripada realiti. Autistik termasuk dalam kumpulan orang kelainan upaya (OKU) di bawah kategori masalah pembelajaran berdasarkan keterangan akta OKU 2008. Melalui kaedah analisis induktif dan deduktif, artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis data-data dokumentasi dalam pelbagai literatur yang diterbitkan ataupun tidak yang berkaitan dengan perspektif undang-undang dan hukum Islam semasa terhadap golongan autistik. Perkara ini berkait rapat dengan isu di mana dalam aspek undang-undang dan hukum Islam, masih wujud permasalahan yang perlu kepada perincian dan perbincangan lanjut sesuai dengan isu-isu semasa berbangkit terhadap golongan autistik ini. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa perbincangan terhadap autistik dari sudut undang-undang belum diberikan perbincangan lanjut dan perincian yang sewajarnya. Perbincangan sedia ada dalam aspek undang-undang masih diletakkan di bawah kategori golongan OKU secara umum dan tidak dirujuk secara kursus terhadap golongan autistik yang mempunyai perbezaan sikap dan tindakan mereka. Kemudian dari perspektif hukum Islam pula, didapati bahawa golongan autistik dikategorikan sebagai penyakit mental disebabkan tahap kematangan yang masih rendah dan tidak terkeluar daripada kategori kanak-kanak yang sudah mumayyiz. Ada juga yang mengatakan seperti kanak-kanak yang belum mumayyiz. Jadi, pengkategoriannya ini mempengaruhi kepada keperluan dalam pelaksanaan ibadah dan segala taklifan yang lain dalam agama. Justeru, diharapkan agar perbincangan ini dapat membuka beberapa perincian dari aspek undangundang dan hukum Islam semasa terhadap golongan autistik yang sewajarnya diberikan perhatian sejajar dengan perkembangan pelbagai isu semasa berkaitan golongan autistik ini..

Although Islam is derived from the Quran and guided by Prophet Muhammad Peace Be Upon Him, but in expressing understanding among the communities are different. Therefore, reveal different groups with different religious will be manifestation until the realization of the conditions that are simple, the fanatical (extreme) and the deviants. Through deductive and inductive analysis method, this article aims to collect the hadith associated with religious fanaticism and explain the meanings in the hadith refers to religious fanaticism and clarify understanding based on discussions base on fiqh al-hadith. The analysis found that there are five (5) hadith that form the basis of discussions related to the religious fanatics refer to the theory and the understanding aspect with three main themes: [1] the prohibition exceeds the limit, something extreme or burdensome; [2] ban invent a new religion and [3] religion that easy and not burdensome or charge.

Dalam pengistilahan al-Quran dan hadith, terdapat beberapa istilah yang boleh dikaitkan dengan maksud ekstrem atau melampau. Justeru, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti istilahistilah dalam pemakaian teks al-Quran dan al-hadith lalu dikeluarkan pemahaman dan skop penggunaannya dalam teks. Analisis sepenuhnya menggunakan pendekatan induktif dan deduktif supaya dapat dikenalpasti dan dijelaskan maksud keseluruhan pengistilahan tersebut. Hasil kajian mendapati bahawa istilah dalam pemakaian al-Quran yang merujuk kepada maksud ekstrem atau melampau adalah Ta'lu (ghuluw), Ta'taddu (melampaui batas) dan Tatghaw (melampaui batas). Manakala dalam hadith pula menggunakan istilah Tanaṭṭu' (sikap ekstrem), Tashaddud (memberat-berat), Takalluf (memaksa-maksa diri) dan I'tidā' (melampaui ketentuan syariat). Keseluruhan istilah dalam al-Quran dan hadith tersebut adalah merujuk kepada beberapa bentuk sikap dan tindakan ekstrem atau melampau iaitu melampau dalam aspek ibadah dan pelaksanaannya (seperti solat, puasa dan berdoa), melampau dalam aspek muamalah (seperti aspek halal dan haram berkaitan makanan dan minuman, ikatan perjanjian dan sebagainya), melampau dalam aspek akidah dan juga melampau dalam aspek dosa dan pahala.

Dalam pengistilahan al-Quran dan hadith, terdapat beberapa istilah yang boleh dikaitkan dengan maksud ekstrem atau melampau. Justeru, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengenalpasti istilahistilah dalam pemakaian teks al-Quran dan al-hadith lalu dikeluarkan pemahaman dan skop penggunaannya dalam teks. Analisis sepenuhnya menggunakan pendekatan induktif dan deduktif supaya dapat dikenalpasti dan dijelaskan maksud keseluruhan pengistilahan tersebut. Ahmad al-Fatani who is the subject of discussion in this present paper had written several manuscripts that can be categorized under the earliest writings in field of Hadith. Even though the obvious integral subjects of the writings were on similar discussions on tasawuf and fiqh, however he was evaluated and judged by his successors as a very meticulous and vigilant scholar with regards to transmitting Hadiths. He wrote both in Arabic and Malay languages. Among his manuscripts which were classified by Wan Mohd Saghir Abdullah as works on Hadith are Kitab Bisyaratul ‘Amilin Wa Nazaratul Ghafilin. This paper examines the main idea of his work which is considered as a reference in traditional madrasah system in the region.

One of the sources says that Islam has come to Malay World in eleventh century of Masihi and this... more One of the sources says that Islam has come to Malay World in eleventh century of Masihi and this is supported by the discovery of gravestone in Champa, Gresik Java as well as Kedah together with the discovery of stone monument in Terengganu dated 1303 Masihi. This situation is exposing the phenomenon of Islam's growth in the Peninsular Malaysia earlier from the Borneo Isle where it has been receiving Islam during the 15 century of Masihi intermediated by al-Makhdum. Thus, this argumentation is at least th influencing the history and the situation of Islam's development of the Borneo especially in Sabah amongst the native people. Nevertheless it is indisputable if we assumed that the empirical battle to authorize religion of Islam from the Peninsular Malaysia has empower an inducement towards the local fundamentalists to accentuate the Islamic spiritual da'wah at Sabah until Islam has been the official religion of the state. Hence, from the prepared revision and analytical reflection, we shall examine and explore the history as well as the growth of Islam's prospect especially at Sabah by considering the aspect of Islamization reality and current religious activities including Christianization. We also explore the development's factors, institution and also the person in authority towards this issue. It is adequate to highlight that Islam's nuance at Sabah, which situated in the north of Borneo Isle, is multi-dimensional in its characteristic, which is in itself is a unique state in the country.
