Trace elements are natural constituents of soil which come from rocks and soils through the processes of erosion, transport and deposition. They can also be derived from anthropogenic sources in which case they are incorporated into sediments as artificial pollutants from industrial or urban releases and wastes (Bermea et al., 2002). Their low Igeo index are usually safe, but increased in Igeo index of these elements in the environment can be significantly destructive to plants and animal life (Macfarlane & Burchett, 2000).
