Sebabnya adalah gunung lumpur Sedati tersebut terletak sekitar 3,1 Km di sisi timur patahan Watu Kosek. Adanya aktivitas seismik dari patahan tersebut mampu memicu terjadinya semburan lumpur yang dapat menggenangi pemukiman warga seperti yang terjadi pada lumpur Sidoarjo. Risiko tersebut dapat diminimalisir dengan mengetahui persebaran lumpur, sehingga warga dapat memilih area kaveling yang jauh dari sebaran lumpur. Penelitian yang tepat untuk dilakukan dengan tujuan tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan sebaran nilai tahanan jenis lumpur. Penelitian ini diawali dengan mengukur nilai tahanan jenis lumpur dari gunung lumpur Sedati. Nilai tersebut berguna sebagai referensi analisis model hasil inversi data pengukuran lapangan. The reason is because of the limitations of the task force and prevention forums in involving the community. Several studies show that community participation is needed in the early detection. Strengthening community participation will be better by empowering organizations that are close to the community such as RT and RW. Therefore, this paper discusses the role of RT and RW in the early detection of radicalism, extremism, and terrorism including identifying the efforts that need to be made to optimize them. The method applied in this paper is library research with data and information sources from several books, journals, documentation, and legal products.
