A Tobit regression approach is adopted to explore the main determinants of e-disclosure. The findings show that municipality's factors like Internet visibility, wealth and leverage play an important role to determine the level of e-disclosure. In addition, a cluster analysis highlights that in Italy there is a greater level of e-disclosure than in Spain, revealing a set of specific elements that characterize municipalities with higher disclosure.

The current study represents an initial effort to describe results of a performance measurement attempt that may suggest some challenges in developing a comprehensive PMS for courts. We have tried to assess the performance in two Italian courts focusing on three issues: efficiency measures (clearance rates, case turnover, and disposition time), culture assessment, and Information Systems (IS) success. The sample consists of 170 Italian and Spanish municipalities that used Facebook in 2014. The findings show that posting a lot of information on municipal Facebook pages does not increase the engagement of citizens. Also, frequent posting of information per se does not engage public engagement. However, if the posts are published when public can pay attention to them (e.g., off days), the likelihood of public engagement increases. Furthermore, the citizens' engagement on municipal Facebook page depends on the level of citizens' incomethere is a negative relationship between citizens' income and the level of participation.

Using content analysis and posts categorization on the Facebook pages, we analyze topics of municipality posts to understand the communicative practices and types of use by municipalities. We examine the Facebook profiles of nine of the largest cities in Italy. The analysis is mainly based on a coding scheme that was derived from literature and findings show that the main communication topics between Italian local governments and citizens are provision of information, local events, local public services, and co-design.

From Simon research to nowadays, the importance of design science is well recognized in the IS literature. However, despite the IS literature is paying more attention on this topic, there is no extensive analysis of a comprehensive set of sources has been performed in order to explore this emerging body of knowledge. The aim of this study is to understand the state of design science in ISR by performing a survey of the existing body of knowledge. Using several online database literature searches, we obtained 245 publications for data analysis. A comprehensive list of references is presented together with a roadmap for performing a bibliographic analysis. Our analysis provides useful insights for IS practitioners and researchers on the major historical trends that can guide future research in this fertile area of inquiry.
