Current Behavior

We've started adding the claude-code module to our workspaces and I have started to see a behavior where the auto-stop functionality isn't working. Workspaces with the claude-code module installed seem to stay running indefinitely.

What can I do to get debug logs or an indication of why these workspaces are not being shut down?

Relevant Log Output

Not sure where to find any relevant logs.

Expected Behavior

I expect that as long as the AI Agent isn't actively working on something, that the workspace would shut down on time.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a template with the claude-code module.
  2. Set the auto-stop time for the template scheduling.
  3. Launch a workspace and do NOT set an "AI Prompt"
  4. Log into the workspace to validate it works... then log out.
  5. Wait until the scheduled auto stop hits.. and watch it not stop.

Environment

  • Host OS:
  • Coder version: v2.25.1+3bf6a00
