I haven't used the stale bot myself but a few points I think are important but might be out of the box:

One more thing here - is there a way to bail out from auto close? For example an issue is a candidate for implementation but not right now. There might not be activity there but we still want to keep it open. Maybe some tag? Currently tags are added by the issue opener. I think this should be done by maintainers. |

Closing inactive issues
We plan to introduce the stale bot. This will help us focus our time on issues currently relevant to our users.
What does this mean?
All issues with no interactions in the past three months will be automatically closed. This will clean up our backlog and keep this project maintainable in the long term.
But I care deeply about this issue!
Well, interact with the issue at least once every three months. Or if it is closed already, open a new issue mentioning the old one.
Or, open a PR where you (try to) fix this issue. We will help you with your PR as much as we can.
