Event Details:
A roundtable discussion on challenges and best practices
Lab courses provide students with engaging hands-on learning experiences but safety is essential when designing and teaching lab courses. Facilitated by Jack Reidy, a research safety specialist from Environmental Health and Safety, this discussion provides lab instructors with the opportunity to discuss the unique safety challenges associated with designing hands-on learning experiences, from unpredictable misinterpretations of instructions to helping seniors safely design a capstone project.
This event is collaboration between the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Environmental Health and Safety.
Part of the CTL Lecturers and Academic Teaching Staff (LATS) events series; faculty, staff, and graduate instructors who support lab courses or capstone with lab components are also welcome.
